We enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden. The gardens are beautiful, the pool was clear, and indoor accommodations were neat and clean. It’s a bit of a drive into La Fortuna for the “tourist” activities but we particularly enjoyed one of the local restaurants, and went there more than once after a day of sightseeing.Keylor, our host was very accommodating and instructions re arrival and check-in were clear and simple.Thanks for a great stay!

Love the pool

Great place to stay, kitchen was stocked nicely! The house was also very clean! We enjoyed the beautiful pool. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood. It is a little further from La Fortuna so just be aware that you will need to drive about 15-20 minutes into town and back. We didn’t mind the drive at all. It’s surrounded by many cool things to do and see! The outdoor furniture wasn’t super comfy but we still very much enjoyed the outdoor area. The beds weren’t super comfy either (maybe with a little better pillows.) Loved the pond with all the birds and iguanas. The peacock was also fun to watch and listen to.

Excellent!

The house was great. Spent a lot of time in the pool. Everything was very clean. About a 20min drive into La Fortuna. The property is located right beside a pond full of beautiful ducks and geese. One of the neighbours even had Peafowl who loved to wander into our yard. House had 3 full bedrooms.

Reconsider your stay here. Its a dirty place with no owner accountability

I condensed this note to fit here that was sent to the owners. In the past 3 weeks have not acknowledged our issues or concerns. If you want the full transcript let me know. There are nicer cleaner places in the area. Do not get caught like we have been. There was no dish soap. The house rules sheet was also very sticky and the sugar has some kind of critters in it. There was no extra toilet paper left (the rolls were basically empty upon arrival in both bathrooms) So I have personally expensed $$ for toilet paper Your pool turned my blonde haired daughter hair green and has had to take multiple showers to try and do something with her GREEN hair. You have a copper issue in the pool The pool is also dirty, it’s apparent it is not cleaned often or well due to the algae that is visible in many areas within the pool. BBQ grill is rusted which, there is no fuel/wood to bbq or any bbq utensils (note - in your utensils bin are some dirty utensils). Lastly, and this is unfortunately extremely gross, seriously. The bathroom between the three bedrooms just reeks of urine. Went in there my self and its over powering. There was urine and pubic hairs on the toilet and seat. Not acceptable. Obviously it was never cleaned. The level of overall cleanliness is lacking. The cookware and utensils were dirty and pealing.

Beautiful property

We loved the property, it was beautiful and spacious. The WiFi was a little touch and go and it was at least 20 minutes to get into la Fortuna. We would definitely recommend, but just be aware you will be doing a lot of back and forth driving to get into town and the nearby activities.

Great place with lots of beds! The outdoor yard is AMAZING! Looked pretty clean at first, but was not super clean. Had an issue with the toilet, but I think that was our fault. whoops! They came and fixed it quickly! We were in the pool almost every night. it was cool and felt GREAT!

Nice getaway

We had many activities plan in la fortuna. This was close enough that we could get there easily, yet in a smaller town. We went to the local soda for breakfast and another for ice cream each evening. Everyone was super friendly and we enjoyed the whole trip.

Nous avons adorĂ© notre sĂ©jour Ă  la maison "Secret Garden La Fortuna". L'endroit offre tout ce qu'il faut pour un sĂ©jour agrĂ©able. La maison est situĂ©e dans un domaine de quelques maisons qui entourent un lac privĂ© dĂ©bordant de vie : iguane, canards, paons, lĂ©zards, etc.. C'est vraiment un endroit magique Ă  20 minutes au sud de La Fortuna. Il y a une Ă©picerie Maxi Pali pas trop loin, quelques petits "sodas" sympas Ă  distance de marche. Les lits sont super confortables et on se sent en sĂ©curitĂ©. La maison Ă©tait propre et l'hĂŽte sympathique et aidant.J'enlĂšve une Ă©toile car il manquait quelques commoditĂ©s : pas de papier de toilette en extra, pas de serviette pour essuyer la vaisselle, pas d'eau chaude Ă  l'Ă©vier de la cuisine, quantitĂ© limitĂ©e de serviettes de corps et aucune serviette de plage pour la piscine. La piscine Ă©tait sur minuterie et fonctionnait la journĂ©e de notre arrivĂ©e mais n'a pas fonctionnĂ© les autres jours. Comme nous avions beaucoup d'activitĂ©s, je n'ai pas demandĂ© Ă  l'hĂŽte de rĂ©gler la situation. Je suis cependant convaincu qu'elle l'aurait fait, la communication Ă©tait trĂšs bonne. Autre petit bĂ©mol, le rĂ©seau wifi Ă©tait instable et fonctionnait pas trĂšs bien en soirĂ©e (probablement une surcharge puisque ça semble ĂȘtre un rĂ©seau partagĂ© entre plusieurs maisons autour du lac).Au final, nous avons adorĂ© notre sĂ©jour au Secret Garden et vous pouvez louer sans hĂ©siter.

l'intsallation extĂ©rieur est paradiziac. l'environnement, les oiseaux et le paysagement toute etais wow. Deux salles de bain parfait et fonctionnel... Manque juste un peux d'info comment utiliser la douche.. mais les propriĂ©taire nous ont expliquĂ© et toute Ă©tais ok. Parcontre: Besoin d'un net pour nettoyage de piscine car au retour de la journĂ©e plein de chose tombe mais on avait rien pour les ramasser, ont a empruntĂ© celui du voisin :) et manque une air climatiser dans la piece principal.. trĂšs chaud le matin si ont dors avec les portes fermĂ©. Je reprendrais cette maison a mon retour au Costa Rica quans mĂȘme sans hĂ©sitation. merci !!
