This property was set in a rural hillside offering views of the Valpedre valley. Not only is this a sophisticated hotel but the property boasts fantastic facilities for all ages. The staff, especially the Manager André were super friendly and nothing was a bother. André was forever checking in with us to see how we were and if there was anything he could do for us. He also assisted us with some sight seeing expeditions which were great. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The bedroom was left spotlessly clean, and the bed was made every day. I would highly recommend this hotel for its friendliness, cleanliness, value for money and it has a real escape feel. A hidden gem in Penafiel.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. The host went out of his way to make our stay most enjoyable. He called ahead for dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant and had our laundry expedited. The place is a gem.

Fabulous Country Inn

This hotel far exceeded expectations. The beautiful, well-appointed, classy facility was located in a gorgeous setting surrounded by vineyards. The parking lot had orange and lime trees at the edge. The manager's enthusiasm about the property and his job was contagious...oh, and don't forget he speaks multiple languages fluently. I hope to have the opportunity to visit this property for a longer stay.

Very nice and relax hotel to stay, only ten rooms in property, and you need to have a car, otherwise EXCELLENT HOTEL, service A+, food A+ ( quality and very tasty ) room A+ After long day sightseeing the area, best place to relax and have a great dinner with a nice wine.

Wonderful hotel!

A fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. Obviously a lot of thought and care has been put into making this a top hotel and it really pays off. The owners/staff were all very friendly and so helpful with suggestions for the area. All areas were lovely, from the bedrooms to common areas and pool. I would happily stay here again, a super hotel.

Nearly perfect

Stayed here for a week in mid July. On arrival Andreas was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Throughout the holiday he was attentive and couldn’t do more for us. The rest of the staff were great too. The pool was stunning, the room was gorgeous. The only downfall was the hotel restaurant was closed the week we were there as it was quiet and the staff were on holiday. There aren’t many places to eat near by, we had a car and could drive to the local grill but other than that you’d struggle to find anywhere.
