Where I went when Hotels.com messed up

I moved to this hotel because my original hotel was a nightmare. The only positive contribution from Hotels.com while they fumbled dealing with this issue (and badly) was I was able to book this alternative. This hotel was excellent! Great staff Great property Very enjoyable

Pleasant but not a 5 star hotel.

There’s good things and bad things to say about this hotel. It’s billed as a 5 star, but for this stay for me it only just hit a 4 star. Location is great, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good quality with choices for everyone. The room let things down though - we faced out onto the back of the property, with no view at all, only a brick wall about 20 metres away. Even though I wouldn’t sit on the balcony, there are no chairs there. Inside, the room is quite small. The bed is centred in the middle of the room, there are no bedside tables. The bathroom is open plan meaning the wash basin is out in the open in the room. The shower only has a curtain separating it from the bedroom. There’s no iron, hardly any table top space. The bed itself was comfortable but not anything special.

The staff here was excellent with their hospitality. Food was also good at the hotel if you just wanted to stay in one day. Gym available, small, but good enough for a workout while you're traveling.
