The only nice thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is TERRIBLE. Please, stay away from it. To start the pictures you see ... NOT AT ALL. The place needs to be demolished. Good luck going upstairs with your luggage!!!! Our bathroom was full of mold, the bathtub is a challenge to get in or out and water barely comes out of you mini shower head. You can hear people coming in and out of the stairs (which are extremely narrow and dangerous) and that is the nicest thing I can say about it. Our not king size bed headboard was part of the exorcist movie and duck tape is everywhere.. yes, I have pictures to prove all of these issues, except the neighbors noise! For the (over) price you pay, you could do a lot better.. I am fighting this one with Expedia!

Great Charming Hotel!!

You are centrally located! Almost literally across the street from the Notre Dame! Everything is close by. The room is so charming! The window light was just perfect! But… you are on top of a bar. On weekends this will be LOUD! So sleeping with your windows open may need ear plugs. The staircase is EXTREMELY narrow, so be prepared for that when walking up. Overall… it was a wonderful experience!

An old character hotel, opposite Notre Dame

This small hotel, right opposite Notre Dame, is over 200 years old, still containing the old beamed staircase and ceilings. Getting in and out is fairly cramped, but the rooms are a decent size. The rooms are clean, though not serviced daily (which we actually preferred). The breakfast is big and good value, though only served after 8.30 during the week and after 9 at weekends (which was a bit late for us).

Les Degres deux Notre Dame

Les Degres provides old Paris charm. It is a "walk up" for everyone where narrow winding steps (no lift) re the only way up. Consider this is you're not in the best of shape or have large amounts of luggage. Service the first week of January was quite minimal but I has stayed there 20 years ago with fond memories & it delivered again. Its location is hard to beat

The non smoke room I was given smells strong smoke. The staff refused to switch me to another room even after I told him that I was taking medications to stop the allergy it caused me. “Just open the windows,” “the other rooms more expensive,” those are his excuses.

The location is amazing. Perfect. So close to everything and transportation is right at your door. One block to the Seine. That being said, the room had mold. The bathroom was especially gross. Even if we wanted to complain to management, there was no one at the front desk for days. The WiFi was not available in the room. We had to shave on the stairs or in the hall to use it at all. So that made it difficult to book tours etc. Overall, if they cleaned the mold and paid some attention to the guests, this would be a great place to stay. For us, two nights was barely tolerable. But the location is amazing.

Very good location able to see Notre Dame from our window. Unfortunately it was 108° during our visit and our room did not have refrigerated air conditioning. Staff supplied us with three fans.

Lovely hotel, centrely located

Very conveniently located, hotel staff was very welcoming and nice. It was the hottest weekend in Paris and the hotel had fan in the room which was a lovely attention.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, and for the price it wasn't bad at all. We were on the 4th floor, and could see Notre Dame only a couple of blocks away out our window. Friendly check-in. Cleanliness was fine - clean bedding, clean towels. No service for our second night (no bed made, no clean towels), so make sure you hang your towels to dry. Bed was reasonably comfortable, and king size which is difficult to find in Paris. Be aware there is no elevator, and the stairs are windy (70 steps to the 4th floor). A bit difficult to navigate carrying even small luggage, as well as after a couple bottles of wine. :)

Location great. Staff was very pleasant, but the receptionist that was there when I was checking out spoke absolutely zero english. Room was nice and fairly clean but it's a real pity that the building is not cared for properly. Could've been so much better... Can't say more because the price was pretty decent.

It's got a lot of charm! We were on the 3rd floor (ie the fourth) and it's a narrow staircase, so if that's a problem, this place isn't for you. But it was comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Definitely not fancy, but it's in such a great neighbourhood!

Great location, on site staff very friendly and helpful (much more than over the phone), room was great with beams, bathroom roomy compared with other hotels in Paris, situated on a quiet street. Would definitely book there again.
