Great location. Small rooms but that’s expected of just about any hotel like this in Paris. Staff was very accommodating. Lots of dining options around the hotel. Within walking distance or bike ride to almost anything you want to do in Paris. Close to metro. Would stay again.

The hotel is an older property and the room and bath were very small. Not so small that we couldn't make due, but small. Also the air conditioner controls would not allow a temp below 21° C and a couple nights were a bit warm in the room. The elevator barely fits two people, but at least they had one. Right around the corner, a few blocks away, is a delightful area with dining and shopping for pastries, chocolates, ect. Fairly oae to the Chellet de Halles train underground. Uber would pick us in from the hotel when we needed a ride. Our drivers canceled 6 times. We ended up having the front desk call for a taxi. Price wasn't terrible but better research may have found us a larger room in a more modern hotel.

Pro: friendly & helpful staff; spotlessly clean; good continental breakfast selection; comfortable bed. Con: looks shabby & very run down; disappointingly small “superior double” room, especially for the price; tiny lift that could barely hold 1 person with a suitcase; no restaurant or bar (we knew this), but immediate area was run down & wasn’t comfortable to walk out in the evening; coffee machine in room, but had to buy pods after the first 2 each day; no bottled water; no in-room safe; water for shower / basin often cold or luke warm as tank too limited for number of guests

The Bonne Nouvelle is a typical modest (but well-kept and appealing) Parisian hotel, located on a quiet block just a few blocks from a boulevard with bustling cafes and a Metro stop. The rooms are, unavoidably small (this is Paris, after all!) but designed to make the most of the available space. There is a desk, chair, rack to hang clothes on, and tall wide windows. Flat screen TV. The bathroom has a rain shower, which is a pleasant surprise, given the limited size of the stall. The staff is exceedingly cordial and helpful. This is the 6th Paris hotel we’ve stayed in during the last few years and I would put it at #2 on that list. The only complaint to make: the WiFi signal was spotty, especially late at night. That may have been just an issue with the location of our room.

This hotel is centrally located in close proximity to Metro lines, cafes and different restaurants, including ethnic cuisines. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. However, the facility is dated and the elevator is very small: about 2x3 ft. My room had a step stair case to the toilet and shower.

Terribly run down place, upon arrival the room stank of mould, sewage and bleach that was probably trying to cover the other faux smells. Roof windows vent full of mould, just gross. Some hair in the bedding, replacement brought by staff who gave us a few for us to change with the comment “not sure which is clean”. Property looks nothing like in the pictures, it’s super run down, not even the entrance door to the lobby opens properly and gets stuck half way. The smell of the room got mostly resolved by keeping the windows open 24/7 (which led to my pregnant partner catching cold, but hey, better than inhaling bleach and mould for multiple days). We were offered a diff room at the 2nd floor I believe, yet other reviews complain of hellish noise in the building, so we stayed in the attic. The building is indeed very loud and the lift makes very loud bang as it passes through 3rd floor I believe. This place is more like run down youth hostel than a nice hotel as it SEEMS from the heavily Photoshopped photos.

Weekend Break

Great Hotel! The location is fantastic, really close to Metro stations, lots of lovely restaurants bars and shops. Staff were very helpful. Offered a free Wattsapp service for assistance while we were in paris, which we used. Room was nice, actually quite large for Paris! There was a bad leak in reception on check out day, but staff were on top of it. Quite noisy at night, but this is to be expected with a city hotel

Booked a twin room as it was a mum and son trip. Plenty of room and spotlessly clean. Great shower. Breakfast good. In a really central area close to metro and lots of restaurants.

A really good little hotel. Good location with good breakfast. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Downside was intermittent WiFi, but that might be as I requested a top floor room which was in the roof, so maybe the WiFi struggled to get that far.
