We did like our stay overall and some staff has been fantastic. We had an issue with kettle not working in the room - a staff member went above and beyond to fix it. On a less positive note - the room we had - had a strong smell of paint. They painted the window frames 2 days ago. I’m not sure why would you do that in the middle of high season? I don’t know anyone who would be happy with that. They gave us the other room the next day-the move was organised quite well. What I’m not happy about is the comment I had from one of the male staff member, when I spoke to them about the paint smell. He said that I was probably just sensitive to the smell of it. That was incredibly rude. Was there any need for comment like that? Not professional. You don’t expect such inconvenience as bad smell in such a classy and pricey hotel. And on the day when we have been leaving I could see the other windows frames of other rooms have been painted. My comment clearly did not mean a thing. We had to sleep with open windows on the first night on the ground floor. (Inner yard but nevertheless very low level/we did not feel safe %100 that night. Apart from that-clean, friendly, good location.

Lovely boutique hotel. Dinning options nearby, the area is a bit more quiet and less traffic at night but still feels safe. Many embassies in the area. Metro station is really close. The breakfast in the hotel is worth it. Although there are many places to have food in Paris, the experience of having at least one breakfast in the cellar is worth it. The breakfast itself is good. Staff were very professional, polite, friendly and accommodating.

Duc de Saint Simon was wonderful, I'm so happy we stayed here. It's in a very convenient location to walk to several places to eat and pretty close to Muse D'Orsay. The staff was helpful and kind, and everyone spoke English. I thought it was a good value for what we paid and this hotel was absolutely gorgeous.

Lovely visit to Paris & the Duc de Saint-Simon!

100% excellent hotel! All staff was friendly, professional & very responsive to our individual needs. Special thanks to Juan for all his recommendations for restaurants, places to visit, directions and helping me to speak French! The hotel was decorated beautifully from the reception area, the room, to the lovely wine cellar rooms where breakfast was served. We had a room with a lovely terrace. Highly recommend for a quiet, excellent location for fine dining spots and within walking distances of major attractions in Paris.

The artisanal charm of this hotel--e.g., beautifully hand-painted signs for such mundane facilities as the WC's and ascenseur, great artworks on the walls, individualized decor in every bedroom--is unmatched. I particularly love the stone circular staircase down to the basement bar/breakfast rooms.

An excellent hotel with first-rate, friendly and helpful staff. The only slight criticisms are that the tea at breakfast was not good, the shower fitting was wonky and there could have been tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Other than that, I couldn’t recommend the hotel more highly.

Beautiful and charming boutique hotel close to a metro and easy walking. Wonderful breakfast cave and food. Attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend but if you have difficulty with stairs be sure to let them know as some rooms are up stairs with no elevator.
