Mixed view!

Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were few things we was not happy with. We needed extra pillows (only one each) it took three requests to get them. On the second day I was told at the bar I had reached my limit on putting purchases to my room, I had to go to the reception & query this, as I've never had this experience as I just pay the total bill at the end of my stay. One morning at breakfast there was not enough food as there were large wedding guest groups! On the positive side, evening meals and breakfast were to a high quality, our bed room was spacious, clean and had good facilities. The gym had a good selection of equipment. Staff generally were friendly.

Relaxing stay!

Lovely hotel with good facilities, dog friendly as well which we didn’t know when we booked but next time it’s good to know we could bring the dog. Breakfast was delicious both mornings, fresh and had a good variety of food. The room was spacious, clean and had a good size tv to watch the football on. Overall really enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful too.

Overnight stay

Great stay. Hotel situated in a lovely neighbourhood outside the city although it’s easy to get to. It was full but very quiet with ample on site parking. Rooms are a nice size and adequately furnished. Could have more pillow but I’m sure these would be made available me on request. Decent choices for breakfast. We would stay here again if visiting Cambridge in the future.

Pretty good but no air con

All was pretty good as it was only an overnight stay. Room was lovely, clean and looked more special than the budget hotels that we are more used to when travelling. Bit surprised there was no air conditioning. The windows only open a little as we were on the 2nd floor so air con would have been a bonus.

Lovely stay with my best friend to celebrate her 40th birthday. We enjoyed afternoon tea which was lovely and ate in the restaurant food was amazing. Great location for getting into Cambridge for punting which was great fun! Clean room, comfortable bed.

Beautiful and well maintained hotel. It was very hot and the AC wasn’t working but the staff made effort to ensure a comfortable stay by providing a fan. However, the room will need some deep clean as there was cobwebs and giant spider seen in the room.

Was okay but needs some improvement

The place is a bit tired looking in some areas of the hotel. Our sink in bedroom has a crack in it, the bath had a chip in it and the shower cubicle has a crack in it! Bedroom like a sweat box with no AC whatsoever and only able to open the windows a few inches. The walls in the bathroom could also do with a fresh bit of paint. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too squishy and not enough support but I realise that is personal choice. The swimming pool and surrounding area were comfortable. Didn't eat here so cannot give review on restaraunt.

I really enjoyed my one night stay at the Cambridge Belfry, for an event. The service was great - everyone was very friendly and helpful. My room was pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious but with a small shower cubicle which was awkward to get into. Aircon would have been nice as it was a very hot evening. I enjoyed dinner at the bar, overlooking a lake. Breakfast was okay. It's a 5 minute walk to a large Morrisons and various other shops. I travelled by train to St Neot's, and I got a taxi to the hotel as the buses are not very frequent. Huntingdon might have been a better option for public transport.
