I was extremely disappointed with our stay and hope to save another family the trouble. We booked this property as the last available avenue for a family trip. To start, the information on the VRBO listing is not accurate. The master bedroom only has a full size bed in it after the listing saying it was a king. I am 6’8” tall do this was obviously important to me. After immediately contacting the owner I was told that I was the one who booked the condo and not them. I have screenshots of this in case it was denied. After this conversation the owner changed the listing online to VRBO to a queen bed. The owner instructed me to call VRBO as it was not their responsibility to take care of this. When I called VRBO they informed me that the listing was for a queen bed and had been changed that same day. Luckily I had a screenshot of the listing as a king. I am still waiting on a call back from VRBO on this.
Aside from this issue, when we checked out the owner told us hours later that we would be charged for not leaving the parking passes that we were instructed to. I have screen shots and pictures of the property instructions that never mentioned this. In this instance the owner was at least decent enough to let us mail them back to him once we got home.
The property is outdated and has poor colors with green carpet. The doors are all rusted over, the lock barely worked, the toilet paper holder was broken upon arrival, and the towel holder in the other bathroom were not even on the wall upon arrival.
Overall, we were very disappointed in our stay and how we were treated. We had family staying in other units at Long Beach Resort and let me tell you that there are FAR nicer options out there. Don’t do what I did and try to save a few dollars by staying here. Go stay in a nicer unit and enjoy better customer service and your vacation as well.
