The L' Àguila building is a landmark of Modernisme in Palma and is listed as a site of cultural interest in the city. For the first time, it opens its doors as a tourist accommodation following a complete renovation finished in June 2018. We combine top-quality amenities with a unique iron structure—an authentic masterpiece of Mallorcan architecture.

Our building, L' Àguila, was designed by the renowned architect Gaspar Bennàssar in 1908. It consists of four floors and was designed to maximize space while ensuring excellent natural light throughout the interiors. Its iron columns, both inside and outside, allowed for the installation of large stained-glass windows. We also highlight its balconies, featuring stunning undulating iron railings that give the building a dynamic character. In 2018, the interior was fully renovated, creating four fully refurbished apartments (one per floor), all equipped with the highest quality materials to ensure maximum comfort.

The ÀGUILA SUITES BENNÀSSAR apartment is located on the first floor of the building and is accessible by elevator.

The apartment is designed as a single open-plan, minimalist space, very bright and tastefully decorated. It features a comfortable living and dining area with a large sofa (which can be converted into a sofa bed for a child under 12 years old), a TV with internet connection and full satellite channels. The open-plan space also includes a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances and utensils needed for your stay: Nespresso machine, oven-microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and more.

There is a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The bedroom includes two single beds that can be joined to form a large double bed (180 x 200 cm), as well as a satellite TV.

The accommodation is also ideal for remote work, offering powerful free Wi-Fi in all rooms.

Guests have private access to the apartment. After the main entrance door from the street, 5 steps lead to the elevator that connects all floors of the building. Bed linen and towels are provided for all guests.

The building is located in Plaza del Marqués de Palmer, just next to Plaza Mayor, in one of the most central areas of the city. The entire old town can easily be explored on foot. The surrounding streets are full of options: churches, small shops, restaurants, cafés, and major brand stores. Our location is strategic—Plaza Mayor is just 50 meters away, the Town Hall is a two-minute walk, and the stunning Cathedral is only 700 meters away.

It is also perfectly located for exploring the rest of the island. Plaza España, where you will find all major bus and train connections—including the departure point of the Sóller railway—is just 750 meters away.

For food shopping, a 500-meter walk will take you to the popular Mercat de l’Olivar, where you can find a wide variety of fresh products.

The nearest beach is 1,300 meters away, and from Plaza España there are convenient bus connections to the island’s main beaches.

The airport is located 12.3 km away.

This was the most well kept, beautiful apartment I’ve ever stayed in while vacationing. Dario was so accommodating, attentive, informative and always available for any of my questions. Dario gave me a map with directions to the apartment and to the nearest parking garage. The apartment is clean and comfortable. You have everything you need to make meals if you have family. There is a nice balcony outside that you can sit and people watch. The location is perfect! You are in the middle of everything! People love to take pictures of this apartment from the outside because it’s beautiful so get ready for that. They have a water filter so you don’t have to worry about the metal taste. They had a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for us when we arrived. I thought was a classy touch. A few things could be better and that is the hot water is only for a short shower so my husband and I had to shower at the same time. If not then he would have to wait until the next day. The house rules manual should include instructions on how to use the European nespresso and how to work the TV. Those were things I didn’t want to bother asking Dario. But even with those little things it’s still a 10/10 for me. I’d definitely come back and stay here.

Historic building. Modern apartment in central location

The apartment was clean, modern and conveniently located. There was some street noise but windows are double pane so not bad. The location is very convenient. We were surprised that other reviews did not mention the convenience of the Estacion Intermodal bus station. After only a short walk, you a can take a bus to most of the beautiful city locations on the island for only a few euros if you buy online (Rome to Rio website). Location also convenient to many restaurants with al fresco dining. We enjoyed our stay. Host was very responsive and kind.

The BEST location in Palma!

We stayed for two weeks in February, and this apartment was perfect. Not only is it a beautiful architectural gem, it is within walking distance to the train / bus station, so we could take day trips to other parts of Mallorca quite easily. We were able to purchase groceries from 3 or 4 different shops within a 2 minute walk, and made numerous trips to Mercat de l'Oliver for lunch and fresh fish to cook on our own. Everything is easy to walk to... cathedral, palace, waterfront, museums, as well as the shops, bars and restaurants. Truly the perfect location. We were surprised to see large groups of tourists staring up at the building every day... didn't know this spectacular site would be on the tourist stop! Hahaha! It is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected when you are right in the hub of everything. Irene, the host that greeted us when we checked in, was very responsive to our questions. She made everything easy! Highly recommend this spot!

Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Palma waren aufgrund der perfekten Lage gut zu erreichen. Appartement ist für 2 Personen gut geeignet. Auch mit der Ausstattung waren wir sehr zufrieden.
