I would rate this place as just OK. You could tell it had been renovated but was not being maintained as well as it should. There were so many chipped, scuffed and dirty spots on the walls of our rooms I didn’t understand why they hadn’t been touched up. The color the rooms are painted is literally the color of Calamine Lotion, if you know what that is. I mean the whole thing, doors, facings, ceilings…all of it. Not really a super pleasing color and made it feel dated. The color also made the room feel very dark. The beds were a bit squishy for me but ok. The desk and nightstand in our room both were very stained on the tops of them. Looked like old furniture put into a sort of updated room. You could tell they definitely updated the tub and tile in the bathroom which were both very nice. Too bad it didn’t have an open glass divider in the tub versus the shower curtain as that made the Calamine Lotion color bathroom darker while showering. Finally, the room and the lobby both had that, “this is an old hotel and we are trying to use something to mask that smell” kind of scent in the air. Room just had that weird smell to it and was not really pleasant. Could be so much better with just a few changes.
