Open air tropical living in this French style villa boasting expansive ocean views of dawn beach, tintamarre, st. barths and saba (225%) from all rooms. Villa Valhalla is just a short walk to Dawn Beach and the JW Marriott Resort where you can enjoy famous island cocktails and relax poolside. Our housekeeper, Catherine, is a treasure and will meet you upon arrival, cater to your every need and is available to cook a memorable Caribbean style meal at the house.
Valhalla is located on the quiet side of the island, in a gated community, on a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean and ensuring complete privacy. Our house is designed for pure relaxation. Enjoy your morning coffee with a freshly baked croissant from the local french bakery while relaxing on the shaded patio enjoying the views which just might include some frolicking humpback whales. Soak up the sun on our chaise lounges on the pool deck or soak your worries away in the Jacuzzi hottub. Valhalla turns magical in the evening with soft lighting around the outdoor dining area and pool as you overlook the beach and the lights of Oyster Pond. Cool oceans breezes make outdoor living comfortable. Large open floor plan includes living/dining room area with cathedral ceilings connecting to kitchen with ocean views. Pocket sliding glass doors that disappear into the wall create the feeling of living outdoors, allowing ocean breezes to sweep through the house as you move from inside the house to private deck and swimming pool area. The well equipped kitchen includes a 4 seat bar, pocket doors that open to patio, pool and direct beautiful ocean/beach views as you cook your meals. There is also a table area inside pool (plastic glasses only please!!) Large lawn provides additional sunning and recreation area.

A short drive takes you to some of the island's best beaches, restaurants, cocktail bars, shopping and outdoor water sports.

Upon your arrival on island, should you need someone to meet you at the airport and show you back to the villa, please let us know.

There are five areas for enjoying meals/snacks. Inside the house at the 8 person dining room table, at the kitchen bar (seats 4), outside on the shaded patio (table seats 10) and last but not least at the table in the pool - all with ocean views.

House is amazingly comfortable for family/group of 6-10 people. Views are spectacular and the pool is large enough and deep enough for diving and swimming laps.

If you are looking for the ultimate Sint Maarten villa experience, look no further than Villa Valhalla. Our group of five just returned from a week-long stay and we are already talking about coming back.Let’s start with the view — because nothing quite prepares you for it. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Dawn Beach, the turquoise Caribbean Sea, and the distant silhouettes of St. Barths, Saba, and Tintamarre on the horizon. We watched the sunrise every morning from the patio with coffee in hand and it never got old.The pool is stunning — sparkling clean, perfectly sized, and positioned to take full advantage of those incredible ocean views. Sunset drinks by the pool became our favorite daily ritual. The hot tub is a wonderful bonus — perfectly maintained and the ideal spot to unwind after a long day of island exploring.The villa is incredibly spacious with a beautiful open-air design that keeps everything feeling breezy and tropical. Catherine, the housekeeper, greeted us warmly on arrival and gave us a wonderful orientation of the house. Pierre, the property manager, went above and beyond — stopping by to share his extensive knowledge of the island, pointing us to excellent restaurants and the best local shopping. We learned so much from him and it genuinely enriched our trip.Daphne is a wonderful host — communicative, warm, and clearly takes great pride in her property.

Beautiful and inviting home with amazing views! Everything as described. Would definitely recommend renting a car and exploring the entire island like we did! Easy home base once you got use to the driving! Highly recommend going to Bread and Butter each morning for breakfast, about a 10 min drive.

Villa Valhalla was spectacular - the views are beyond incredible, we were celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful stay. Located conveniently close to restaurants and water sports at Orient Beach. JRMarriott bar at Dawn Beach was great. Kitchen is well stocked and the open floor plan and huge sliders to the pool were amazing. We soaked in the hot tub while taking in the night lights of Oyster Pond. This is our second stay at villa Valhalla. We will be back again!! It is a very special place- among the best I’ve ever stayed at worldwide!

Where do you go to celebrate a milestone birthday when you want a relaxing atmosphere with a spectacular view and exceptional amenities (pool, hot tub, outdoor shower). We just returned from an amazing week at Villa Valhalla. A perfect location to celebrate a 50 year old birthday for 5 adults. We spent many afternoons using the pool and hot tub while looking down at Dawn beach and across the sea at St Barts. Dawn beach was a 10 minute walk and easy to access through the Mariott. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. The host and property were very responsive. We hope to visit again for a longer stay.

Check-in was seem less, loved everything about the kitchen, very well equipped. Everyone at the villa were first class, from Catherine to Homer and Pierre . All were incredibly helpful; Homer even took us to Grand Case for dinner twice !! Our trip was nothing short of magical and we can’t wait to return! And the pool and the view was amazing!! We had an amazing stay at this property! We were two families celebrating two birthdays, and this house made it truly unforgettable. The layout was perfect for our group, and we spent most of our time living on the deck by the pool—coffee in the mornings, meals outside every day, and lots of laughs in between.The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the local touches and the peaceful vibe. We also explored the area—made a couple trips to a great local bakery and visited several beaches. Maho Beach and Mullet Bay were definitely our favorites!This home felt like our own little slice of paradise, and we would 100% rent it again without hesitation. Perfect house with incredible views! The owner was VERY responsive and very helpful. The only downside was that Dawn beach was inundated with sargassum so we couldn’t use the beach or enjoy the proximity to the JW Marriott and other local restaurants. Also, travel around the island hills is tricky, especially when it rains. Would strongly recommend an all wheel drive vehicle.

Best Friends Annual Getaway

Villa Valhalla leaves nothing to be desired! From breathtaking Ocean and Mountain views in every direction, to the perfect ocean breeze all day! This home was truly to die for! The house as very clean and well maintained. Amazing shower water pressure! And the small pay it forward basket was nice! If you happen to forget something, check the basket, if you use something, just put one back by the end of your trip for the next vacationers!! The ocean was just steps away, and the island offers so much to do, we wish we booked a longer vacation! The owner Daphne was a pleasure to book with, answering any and all questions we had before our trip. Once on the island, the property manager Catherine was a saint!! Easily one of the nicest people we have ever met! And that was one of the best parts of the island, every person you meet is extremely nice! Can’t wait to come back!

Incredible views and great location

We had an amazing stay at Villa Valhalla! Daphne, the property manager answered all of our questions and created a helpful information package that helped us make the most of our visit. The house and its location are absolutely breathtaking. Our group of 10 people (3 families) couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Even though our flight was delayed, meaning we didn’t arrive until around 8:30 PM, Catherine, the lovely housekeeper, was there waiting at the community security gate to guide us to the house and give us a tour. When we opened the doors and saw the ocean shimmering in the moonlight before us, we were completely in awe. Catherine had thoughtfully prepared a generous welcome basket with snacks and a bottle of wine, which was such a nice touch. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and it felt so comfortable, like home. We ended up cooking most of our dinners at the house so we could enjoy the incredible views, pool, and hot tub. Homere, the pool and garden manager, was friendly, quiet, and very respectful. Pierre, the house manager, stopped by the day after we arrived to check in and make sure everything was going well. We went on a Kayak tour to Pinel Island one day and when we returned, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the house and our rooms had been refreshed with clean towels. What a thoughtful touch! The walk to Dawn Beach is a short stroll downhill, and we were on the beach within minutes. We wholeheartedly recommend Villa Valhalla

Beautiful property, the view is amazing. Communication was very good and everyone took great care of the property while we were there. Host left us a wonderful welcome basket full of goodies, Cleaning service excellent, pool service and Pierre was delightful to converse with.We had just a little difficulty finding the address the first time because the GPS says the house number is 33 but in the villa, the number has 45. But that was minor and we had a wonderful time!!!!We were a group of 4 adults ( 1 couple and 2 singles)

Family Adventure

Perfect Villa for our family of 6 adults and one 4 year old. Housekeeper Catherine does a great job maintaining the Villa and is also a wonderful chef. She prepared and served a four course Thanksgiving dinner that we all loved. A few problems with air conditioning and the hot tub were handled by the property manager Pierre as well as could be expected. Villa needs to upgrade beach chairs but otherwise is very well equipped. We’ll definitely be back!

Ok, first and foremost, Mr. Pierre is the man. He is the property manager and he did not disappoint. Ms. Daphne is an excellent communicator. Ms. Catherine is sweet and informative. Location… YOU WILL NEED A CAR AND SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO DRIVE. The roads are steep, curvy and some are not in the best condition. But the house will make it worth the drive.

Great property, very comfortable and clean. Pool was perfect! Short hike to Dawn beach. Roads are a bit challenging to drive but a car is a must. Host is awesome and very easy to communicate with and is very accommodating. Pool service every day and housekeeping 2xs a week. Will definitely be back.
