I'm not sure how this qualifies as a "4-star hotel." The bathroom smelled like sewage, and there was a notice that they would be spraying pesticide in the rooms during the time that we were there. Staff were very kind and helpful though!

This was a nice hotel. Appeared quite new. Clean, good facilities, vending machine and washing machines etc. The area is quite different to a lot of Ōsaka and has a lot of anime and manga stores which are fun to look at. Service was always kind and efficient. About an 8 min walk from Namba station which was nice. And can walk to Dotonbori but maybe 15 min. This meant we weren't in the thick of it but also that it was quieter at night which we appreciated. And Namba station connected well to lots of spots without having to change trains. A few good food options nearby too, including the custard fish and a great katsu curry place.

Hotel a few minutes walk to Namba stn

Check in time is 3pm, front desk was very helpful for the check in. Left our luggage because we were early. Rooms were in good condition, quiet at 4th flr near a modest gym. 6th flr is a lounge area where coffee and tea are available. Key cards were wooden. We did not avail of the breakfast and went to a nearby restaurant with delicious Japanese food (Munashi). More dining areas are at the station for more choices. Kansai airport is accessible via Nankai line in less than an hour

Recommend location

We stayed here for 3 nights after arriving into Japan. I like the neighbourhood as it was close to Namba Station yet quieter (still busy) than hotels I’d think closer to the station or even hotels near the Dotonburi area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful but I’d give it a 4/5 for my personal taste

Great location for Osaka. Many things are walkable and those that aren’t the train station is just a few minutes away. The hotel is great and rooms are good sized. The breakfast buffet is decent

What I would want to know when considering booking this hotel: This hotel feels like one that would be booked for a wedding party. It feels very grand and high-end. The rooms are super large for being in Japan- they are sized like the ones at home in the US. Amenities were so nice we had clothing and linen spray in our room, a guest lounge with a full on kitchen with coffee and tea, a (clean) children's play area, and a laundry room. The dining hall attached to the hotel was fantastic! It was walkable to plenty of shops and restaurants and Dotonburi. I would without a doubt recommend this to anyone who wants a nicer stay than normal.
