This place needs some real time updates and some better cleaning. 1 of the towels in my room smelled like straight fish, the latch lock was broken, mold in the shower, had to hold the button for rhe toilet to flush, a/c refused to get the room cold, curtains were a nightmare to figure out, and there was no way I was going to eat there if they cant do the little things right. I was co.plwtely shocked.

This is a luxury resort that needs a facelift. Faded glory. Nothing horrible, just a little sad. Hopefully someone will make the investment necessary to make it the place to be again.

Out of season so I had low expectations. But nothingon the listing says the hot tub is down for extended maintenance. Wasn’t mentioned at check in either. Came back from a long hike. Kind of sore. Ready to a good soak. Sorrry. Not available

I feel like 30 or so years ago this was probably the best Resort in the area. It's run down out of date and frankly I wouldn't stay again. Hot tub was out of order. Indoor pool was murky. Coffee was not available for purchase at hotel when we arrived or when we left. Front desk staff was not very friendly. .. I was disappointed.

They ran out of different food options only after an hour into the designated breakfast time. Was old and outdated, the pool had glass in it and had to be drained. The glass came from the old glass tiles around the pool that were breaking off.

The pool and hot tub were broken. When I stayed here a year ago the hot tub was also broken. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The natural beauty of the area is wonderful.

Great beds

At first we were disappointed that the hot tub was closed, but the temperature of the large indoor/outdoor pool was so warm it was very nice and relaxing. Bedding & mattress were comfortable and we had a restful night’s sleep.

Mold/mildew around tub, mattress had no support, faucet required major struggle to turn on, faucet turned to cold HOT water came out, had to wait almost 5 minutes for cold water. The lock would work inconsistently. Witnessed same issue with lock next room. Will be looking for other accommodations if in the area again

Hotel needs a major renovation

The experience with personnel at the front desk and the dining room was excellent. What I didn't like was the lack of proper amenities in the room. The lighting was poor, there was only one nightstand so I couldn't plug in my cell phone and the charger for my hearing aids anywhere near me and the pillows were too thick and very hard. I doubt very much that we will go back there next year for the annual State Band concert. Also, the food left something a lot to be desired. We had a party of 7 and one person ordered a filet. It didn't look like a filet, it didn't cut like a filet and it didn't taste like a filet. We were excited to see a Mayfair salad on the menu. However, it was overdressed with the Mayfair dressing.
