Omaha stay with adult kids

Great location. Family and pet friendly. One step to restaurants and shopping. Nice breakfast in the am. I would definately stay again. Bathtub stopped up upon arrival. My wife fixed that. Pulled out a small creature worth of hair. No electricity one morning. That is probably not common but they had no solution or credit for us.

I paid for valet parking overnight. I arrived about 6 p.m. and turned my car over to the valet parker. I left at 6 a.m. the next morning and drove home. When we got home we noticed my 12 year old son's new cowboy hat was missing from the rental car. Stolen during the night and while the car was in the care of the hotel valet parker. He's heart-broken

Upon arrival it was very difficult to get to the Handicap parking area. The receiving area was completely backed up with vehicles that were presumably checking into the hotel Overall the facility/Room was ok, I just noticed that a couple of the doors in our room would not close. It just appears to be an aging facility

For context: I have been driving cross country for the past 40 hours and have been sleeping in a rental truck. I wanted to treat myself halfway and stay in a comfortable reputable clean hotel, this hotel met all of the criteria to be a great experience. I took an amazing much needed shower, and crawled into the very comfortable bed and rested, for about 4 hours. Around 5am, I woke up suffocating because my CPAP machine shut off due to a power outage, as well as no Air Conditioning. How is it that an Embassy Suites does not have a generator for power outages? From there on, I could not sleep, not just because of not having my equipment to be able to have power, but the room was hot due to no air conditioning. I’m not sure if this is related but I woke up in the morning to shower, no power still, and the water was freezing and would not warm… the first hour and half of my stay was a five star experience, from there on I would give it half a star if I could. Upon check out, the receptionist did waive my Parking Fee as a “Sorry for the inconvenience” which was appreciated, but now I have to continue on my drive extremely tired and not rested as I would have hoped. I’m sorry for being harsh, but for the price that guest pay a night to stay at a Hilton Hotel, I would have hoped that there would be a backup generator.

We were out there for a graduation. We were traveling with another family and proactively contacted the property to ensure our rooms were adjacent 2 weeks prior to check in. We were told over the phone it was noted in the system and will make sure to accommodate. When checking in, automatically we were told no changes can be made. There was no note of the request. We were placed in different floors from each other. Front desk was no help, instead spoke to us in a condescending way. Besides that incident —- the luggage holder in the room was broken, phone was not working, TV didn’t work, toilet was clogged and our keys were deactivated about an hour into check in.

Our room felt like a sauna upon entering and even with the air turned all the way down it still didn’t cool off before we got back to our room 6 hours later. Someone above us knocked on something until 4 am and at one time it felt like they were actually pounding on the door to the room. For what we paid and parking being so congested and the temperature of the room I don’t believe we will be back
