We had the quadruple room for the family and had 4 people with plenty of space. Huge bathroom with amenities not usually available in Europe. Big medicine cabinet, bathroom counter space, tissues, wash cloths, hand towels, shower with closing door, wardrobe big enough for clothes and suitcases. Front desk was awesome and had instructions and brochures in multiple languages. They were so friendly and hospitable. Loved everything about it. Hotel is older style with halls and small elevator, but it added to the charm.

I loved my 2 week stay at this central little hotel in Basel. It is so handy to the centre of Old Basel. The trams and buses are close by. There is a wonderful cafe across the road and numerous eateries nearby. You can not go wrong at this lovely hotel. I will be back.

Couples first time in Basel

The hotel is in a very good location, very quiet surroundings. The service from the reception to the breakfast service is fantastic. The bed was a little uncomfortable and they need to renew the carpets in the hotel as well. The bathroom and room are super spacious. Fantastic breakfast. We went to the Christmas markets, and it was very convenient to walk.

This is conveniently located to walk to the old town and close to the trams, staff was friendly and helpful, we left our luggage over night while we went to Lucerne for a couple of days

My daughter and I loved this hotel in Basel. Very convenient to the Christmas Markets and the Rhine River. I would highly recommend this hotel and the little cafe across the street! We will book here again if we return to Basel, Switzerland.

We stayed four nights at this hotel, they stored our luggage for one additional night. First night we had a room that was up some stairs down a hallway down some-stairs up an elevator. The room was decent but the bathtub was extremely high, hard to get in and out of. The hotel provided free coffee, tea and hit chocolate between 11 am and 9 pm, we would have liked a beverage in the morning, but did not want to have to pay the price for the breakfast, they could set out a coffee pot before 11 in another location in the lobby area if the concern is people were going to help themselves to the breakfast. The three nights we stayed we had a beautiful room wiith a seating area included. It was lovely. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions of reataurants.
