The house was horrible. The passcode we were given only worked one time. The house smelled like cigarettes. It was “clean” but felt and smelt disgusting. The ceiling had what appeared to be water stains all over it and the carpets were stained up. We would not walk around without socks and shoes on. The stove didn’t work so all the groceries we bought to cook with went to waste. One bedroom light didn’t work. Cold water in the kitchen didn’t work. The back door was really hard to open because it was broken. They also had a home inspection during our stay because the house is for sale but we weren’t told anything about it so we were surprised when someone used a door code to come into the house while we were getting ready to leave. I guess I should add that our door code didn’t work but the inspector persons door code did so we had to ask him what code he used so we could lock our door when we left during our stay. The pictures did wonders for this house. We came to ride side by sides so we did that and ended up leaving an a day early so that we didn’t have to spend another night at this place.

Great Middle point between Windrock Access trails.

Not much parking. Driveway extremely steep. But house was clean, nice, comfortable, quiet area. Drive to Windrock main access was close and drive to additional access trails was close. Good middle ground imo. No external water point so was unable to wash equipment after ride was my only dislike. Everything else was great.

Week at Windrock Mountain View

We spent a week here riding the trails at Windrock OHV. The home is good for larger families with big kitchens and rooms. There were 10 of us and it never felt crowded. Nothing fancy, but it meets the needs when your trail riding. As others have mentioned, it is difficult to drive up near the house without four-wheel-drive, but there is a place at the bottom to park

Family vacation

We enjoyed it so much. The only gripe would be the driveway. Too steep to get trailers up but we made it work. We would definitely book it again.

Nice remote location

House was on an extremely steep hill with a large rut in the driveway. Parking for truck and trailer at bottom of hill next to driveway. Easily take machines up to house. House was clean. Could have had more towels and trash bags available. Lock on the front door was very difficult to lock and unlock, deadbolt misaligned. Lots of space.

Windrock Mountain UTV Riding Trip

There were three couples that stayed at the property. We went to Oliver Springs to spend a week riding at Windrock Park. The house was plenty large for our group and had two full bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious with a small island good for meal prep. Had an additional refrigerator in the laundry area which was nice as we purchase our weeks groceries right away upon arrival. The driveway is really steep, but you can drive to the top. Limited space to turn around. If you have large trailers like we did they can be parked at the bottom of the hill next to the driveway. There is a path wide enough for UTV's to drive up that isn't as steep as the driveway. At times we drove both of our Pickups to the top. Someone (contractors I'm told) were working in the house just prior to us arriving and they didn't clean up the best after themselves. Drywall, drywall dust and textured ceiling material on the floors in the kitchen sink, etc. We washed all the dished we used in the dishwasher and washed all the provided towels also because of them not passing the eye test. We are capable of cleaning and we did put in some time doing that, but shouldn't have to when the property charges a cleaning fee. Our machines aren't all tricked out for rock climbing, so the trail that was close to jump on from the property was a little aggressive for us right away. Wasn't too far to ride right to the Windrock Park store and main entrance. All in all we had a good trip.

Non working lock

Couldn’t get into the property after trying two different codes multiple times. House is way out in the boonies with no cell service. Tried for hours to get in touch with owner; finally called vrbo customer service. They tried to contact owner as well and offered to get us a hotel room. We declined that and simply asked for a refund. Can’t see the house from the road, unlike the pictures. The driveway is the steepest gravel driveway I have ever seen. Had to put in 4 wheel drive to get up. Still fighting 2 weeks later to get a refund. Although I could only see in the house through windows it looked as dirty as the front porch. Wouldn’t recommend.

Spacious Quiet House near Windrock

Plenty of space for a group of 4 friends riding the Windrock trails for the weekend. House was clean. No cell coverage (at least for T-Mobile), but WiFi worked well. Great views from the front porch. Only a couple trails are within a mile of the house, but we took the road a few miles in both directions to access more trails including near the main Windrock entrance near the store.

Awesome Place!

I highly recommend this place for big groups riding the Windrock Trails. The only suggestion I have is to level the parking because enclosed trails or long trials scrap trying to park and back out. Other that that this place is perfect. Host was so friendly and helpful. Place is stocked and ready for you to stay.
