Do not recommend staying here.

We were given a room in the second building. Our first impression was that of a man exiting the door we needed to enter for our room, then walking 6 feet to the corner of the building where he then proceeded to smoke a marijuana joint. His girlfriend was walking around with their large dog, not on a leash. We had our two small dogs and had to pick them up most of the time. The room was disgusting and in desperate need of updating. There was nowhere to park except in the rear area near the main building because there was a huge party being held in the building we stayed at. There was a truck with a trailer holding a large barbecue that was blocking most of the parking area. It seemed like there were several long-term guests that stayed there.

Better experience than expected

This was a 6 day solo trip for a family gathering. I booked a king bed for the week. This was a good place for the money spent. Was there visible wear and tear about the room, hotel? Yes. Did it detract from my stay? Not at all. The room was clean, functional and I had a very good week there. I'll start with some negatives. There was constant trash on the grounds and when that is the view from your room, it took away from the experience (My room was on the backside where the pool is). I did not use the tv much, but the sound was very inconsistent... kept going loud to soft. The only other negative I had was that the shower stall was tiny...being female, it was a bit difficult to manage shaving my legs. That being said...the shower itself was fantastic! Great water pressure and lots of hot water. The room itself was nice sized and the bed comfortable, with lots of pillows. The surprise was the breakfast...really tasty! From sausage gravy and biscuits, to 2 size waffle options, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. The food was hot and not bland as I find in other places. Finally the staff were all super nice and the process to check in was very easy. I would stay here again. Nice location and open parking. I did not get a chance to check out the pool, sadly, but others did and looked like they had a good time.

The staff were nice and helpful. I appreciated all of them. The first room they had us in, however, was dank and smelled of mildew. The humidity in the room was oppressive even with A/C going full blast. The carpet was so dirty that it stained my socks just from walking around. The bathroom door would not slide closed and the room smelled. When I reported this, they immediately moved me to a new room, which was much cleaner and had no odor. The property feels a little 'dodgy' at night, but we did not have any issues with safety.

The front desk people went out of their way to help me. I got lost twice trying to find the hotel. I will say the room is outdated, the bed was too high, and there was a few hairs in the sink.
