The check-in staff was very kind. I didn't get her name. The room was out dated and I wish I had a bathtub not a shower. The room was very clean. The a/c made this loud noise that would come and go. it was so loud it would wake me up all hours of the night. it did keep the room cool though. The breakfast was good and warm. The thing that made this hotel a 1 star was the hidden charge. So few days after I notice a $10.00 charge from the hotel. I called the hotel and told the staff I notice a charge. The woman that answered the phone without asking for my information (which makes me think I am not the first person who called about this!) told me that any customers that book through third parties like Expedia, hotel.com and others will be charge a fee by the hotel. I asked her if that is the case what is the point to book through them? they are supposed to be cheaper to do so. She then explained that Expedia lets their customers know about the fee. I explained that I read everything before agreeing and there is nothing that saids that. she replied "will that's what my manger told me" I told her I will call Expedia and I did. When talking to customer services he looked and saw there is nothing said about having to pay an extra charged to book through Expedia. Expedia put me on hold and called the hotel. The hotel agreed to pay me back. Expedia also said he was going to talk to his manger because this needs to be investigate.
