With a large drying room to stash your ski gear, and a washing machine and tumble dryer, this is a great spot for those seeking the snow this winter. Hop in the car and drive 21 minutes to Turoa ski field or 46 minutes to Whakapapa ski field.

There are plenty of great activities for the kids in Ohakune, visit the Ohakune Carrot Adventure Park or try out rock climbing at the Vertigo Adventure Centre, both a four-minute drive from Drasko’s Den.

If you’re here on a summer stay, there are some fantastic bush walks and cycle trails to explore. You’ll love the Mangawhero River Trail and Forest Walk, Te Pepe Bike Park and the Waitonga Falls Track or you can try your hand with some local trout fishing.

The property has some baby amenities, including a high chair, change table and stroller that may be available for your stay.

All guests should take care when using the external stairs as although they have a handrail, they do not have a barrier to prevent falls.
