Very good

It was extremely dirty everywhere except for the room which was ok. Barely adequate. The bar/kitchen area looked completely abandoned as though some disaster had hit the place and everyone had run away.
The basement area, where we eventually found out we had to make breakfast with mouldy bread was disgusting. There was a large dead cockroach in the sink and the walls were crumbling. Weโre not fussy people but this was really bad and we left after one night. The only communication we had was through Instagram with the manager. Not a common thing for people in their 60โs. The photos are from many years ago and the promises in the text are just not available. In summary, one to avoid..

No pay, No Cosy.
I will pay it next time. That was good for
Sleep! Nice Cafe(Ownerโs Cafe Latte was great. But some Part-time workerโsโฆ nope.)
Nice, but I would have appreciated knowing in advance that this was a hostel, not a hotel. If I had stayed more than one night the restrictive rules prohibiting food and drink in rooms, showering after midnight, locking the entry at midnight, all under penalty of expulsion, would have become an issue.
The hostel was almost empty when we stayed there so even in a shared room (bunkbeds), it was comfortable to stay. However, if it was fully occupied with 4 persons then I think the room is too small. Breakfast was barren - coffee, toast, corn flakes and raw eggs. You can make a pan fried egg (limited to 1) by yourself but the pan is not clean (still have oil in it). Staff was friendly and the room was very clean. No sheets or pillowcase were provided but towel is in the room. Bed was firm but comfortable. There are many restaurants close by within walking distance. Wifi was fast.
Great location. Inside the national park right at the start of the hiking trails. Tons of restaraunt nearby. Close to thw ski resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room with the 2 bunkbeds.
The bed frame was extremely squeeky, if either myself or my partner moved at all, it would wake the other up. The mattress on the floor would have been better. Woke up wishing we had moved the mattress onto the floor before going to sleep. Staff was exceedingly friendly.
The location is peaceful & convenient place to stay with.
There are a few small eateries near the guest house although all shops sell the same food. Convenient stall is just beside the guest house. There are shuttle buses from the guesthouse to the ski resort, Muju bus terminal and Daejeon bus terminal.
The guesthouse owner was extremely helpful, aiding us in transportation around Muju to the ski resort etc, calling takeouts from restaurants, and even assisted us in renting our ski equipment.
The guesthouse is nice. Small rooms were somewhat minimalist, but appropriate. Small breakfast was provided; make your own eggs and clean up after yourself. It's inside the national park with hiking closeby, and there's a free shuttle to the ski resort that runs a few times per day.
Nice place to stay, very cozy, the staff is very friendly and kind.
There is a river accessible right behind the guesthouse, and a hijing trail not far.
Unfortunately the breakfast and kitchen area was very humid and moldy.
Watch out for the bus however, it runs only 5-6 times a day
