After making a reservation through Expedia at Ayvazovsky hotel, I was told at the reception of hotel that there were no rooms available since several days . I was left without accommodation and had to look for another options during the late hours

Blocks from most expensive hotels

The Ayvazovsky Hotel is probably my favorite in Odessa for the casual tourist. I think it is lovely, though not terribly fancy. It is blocks from the port and is close to where some of the most expensive hotels are. Staff speak English and have been very helpful each time I have been there. If several visits isn';t itself an endorsement, Bunina Street X-sects two of the busier streets in the center and is as safe as any place to walk at night. I ate at some very good restaurants. Walk to Opera House is few minutes. If you have chance to go to event in the Opera House, you should. It is clean. Typical European beds. I took the included breakfast outside the hotel at a couple of restaurants the hotel uses as partners. The Pizza place makes better omelets than the Buffalo *this trip."

Perfect hotel!

This hotel was a wonderful, elegant gem in the heart of Odessa. The room was beautiful, spotless clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and spoke English well. The location was perfect and close to the gorgeous Opera building. Breakfast is either brought to your room or you can walk to 4 restaurants closeby. We chose Buffalo 99 and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Odessa.

Good location and helpful staff

The room was comfortable and the front desk staff was excellent. Had breakfast in the courtyard which was nice of them to accommodate. Location was great.

Ayvazovsky - just a great place to stay

The hotel was highly recommended by my colleagues - they stay there on a regular basis during business trips. It turned out to be a great place for a short vacation as well. Cetral location, very friendly staff always ready to help, spaciaous comfortable rooms, quite and cosy place in general, right in the city center, walking distance to key attractions and not far from the beach. There is definately no problem with absence of restaurant right at the hotel - breakfast is served at 2 great restaurants located just round the corner, free of charge. The one most favoured - Buffalo 99, once you visist it for breakfast you will hardly be able to pass it by later on during the day - amazing food, atmosphere, great outdoor dining, staff is just another argumemt for going there.

Just Perfect

I arrived at the hotel a little before midnight because the plane had been delayed by over an hour. The front desk personnel were very helpful getting me to my room and giving me a brief lay of the land and asked if I needed anything to eat. I told them no and during my whole stay they were very helpful in telling me places near by and how to get to those attractions and how and how much the taxis should be. That is good information to know before you get in a taxi and they will help you get one too. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and will be going back. It is just a little ways from downtown and you can walk to most of the sites for sightseeing from the hotel. It is really a good value for your money.

Good Price and Service Near Opera House

Very good value and excellent location with great service free computer and Wifi as well. The staff is very helpful no matter how small or large Help you need and 2 blocks from Odessa Opera House and international shopping and restaurants.
