School holiday break

My best friend and I along with hubby’s and kids ranging 20 to 11 spent 5 nights at this property. We had a fantastic stay, the location was easy to get to everything. The back yard was great for the younger ones just enough room to kick a ball, play on the trampoline or play in the hidden garden. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The room configuration was perfect for our two families. I would definitely recommend this property

Enjoyable stay but a few issues that need to be addressed.

We spent a week here with our large family group (6 adults and 5 children including one toddler) and we enjoyed our stay. We found that the floor plan worked really well for our large group so that there was different zones for people to relax and have time out in. The kitchen is very well thought out and it didn’t feel cramped with lots of people in there, the kids really loved the trampoline in the backyard as well. Please be aware that this property is only a 2km walk into town, but it is a tough walk with many steep hills so you will need your car to get to many places of interest including the beach. A few things that we felt really let this property down considering the price we paid for our week at the property were - - The airconditioning downstairs, we had a few hot days and just could not get it working or figure out where the outlets even were? We contacted the property owner but still couldn’t figure it out so we just gave up. Upstairs was fine though as it had split systems. - The gas fireplace inside had also been disconnected so we could not use this. - The oven was not working, we were contacted by the owner and were told someone would be out to fix it while we were there but it never happened. - The backyard could of done with a mow, the grass was quite long and had weeds growing in it. - The latch on the side gate would not lock properly so it would swing making a banging noise at night.
