Staff is excellent but we spent the whole mother day weeks in a hot hotel room with no AC. After checking in we noticed it over hot in the room let the front desk know and maintenance came to fix but was unable too. We stay from Friday to Monday and was told to come back Sunday to check on room availability but by that time on Mother’s Day we decided to not pack up all our stuff and move for 1 night and slept with a box fan on all night to cool the room which was not helping. Waking up multiple times a night due to it being hotter in our room then in the hotel pool area and outside at night on the beach.

Good, but not great.

Overall, it was a good stay. We have stayed there over the years many times. Well some of it seems to have been renovated and is more fresh, a lot of it is old. The smoke alarm in the room was Aru Samiti and gross. Toilet had been cleaned, but it was still Stain. Basically they just need to update more I had what was considered a handicap accessible room, which, for the most part was, except for the 2 inch threshold at the door. Which was painted brown. I don’t think there should be any kind of lip at all there, but if you’re gonna have a 2 inch drop for handicapped people, paint it yellow. The front staff was very accommodating and friendly. Both when I called to double check on the reservations, and when we actually checked in. The whole layout is still pretty aesthetically cool in my opinion. I love birds, so shrinking birds in the morning don’t bother me. The atrium area is nice. It is one of the reasons that we stay there often. However, the next time we go to OC, we will probably go Somewhere else.

When we arrived - the two people working at front desk were super nice! Our room had a beautiful view and was very clean. Front desk also gave us some good information about the bus stop and future booking. We enjoyed seeing the birds and turtles on the first floor as well. We would stay here again!

Have stayed here before and will again, but I want to be honest in my review, Property is showing its age, they are slowly but surely investing in the hotel, but unfortunately it has been ignored for a long time, so its going to take awhile for it to be updated. Stairs and decking outside has been redone much safer then previous stays. Some obvious paint has happened, but the rooms aren't addressed yet, new comforters and sheets yes,rugs have been cleaned but really need to be replaced, rooms are just showing their age mattresses are hard and uncomfortable, furniture is old and uncomfortable, in my room 222 , toaster didn't work, 2 of the 4 burners on the stove didn't work, and the 2 that did didn't really get as hot as the should. Overall it's clean, felt safe, reasonable price, but just know you can see they are making strides they just aren't there yet.

The only thing I had concern about was the tub area in the bathroom. The drain was rusty and there was hair on the wall. Other than that, my experience was great!
