The hotel is not completely remodeled. We stayed on the second floor. The bathroom was old and worn. However, the room was clean and there’s a lot of space. There are full size beds, not queens. The pool was very nice and they have plenty of parking. Overall, the place rates “good”.

The room was clean and the A/C worked wonderfully. You can tell they did some renovations because you can see the paint streaks on the walls but the bathroom was very outdated. Outside of the room there were buckets collecting water from the A/C units, the trash was under our balcony and it smelled. There wasn’t an hair conditioner available in the rooms or at the front desk, which i forgot to pack but normally hotels have the small bottles. The beds were small but comfortable. The short walk to the beach was great. I will say, you get what you pay for here. Wasn’t a bad stay but could have been better

We had a great time at Kokomo suites. The room was spacious the balcony was great for the morning coffee. The beach was 2 min walk from the hotel and there were great activities and dining options around the hotel. The pool was spacious and clean. They need to change their beds because we couldn’t sleep at all and to renew the conditions of the room but overall we had a great time there.

Intrusive Staff

The room was cute and comfortable. The condition of the building and the parking are not great. The worst thing was the housekeeping. They knocked on the door at 10:00 am, even on a rainy day when it made sense to sleep in or relax. When they did "clean," it was minimal. Worst than that, they entered our room without permission at checkout time. This was obnoxious and potentially unsafe for my child and me. If you want a place close to the beach with no rules, other than checkout, go for it.

They charges us a fee for being under 25. The light in the room was only lamps. They didn’t give enough towels and the sheet was falling off the bed. The staff service though was quick to respond to what they could.

Place was a pleasant surprise. Staff and check in was wonderful. Location is great. Short walk to the beach and variety of restaurants and stores in walking distance. Beds very comfy and water pressure was good. Pool is large and really nice. Only thing was no elevator and very steep steps to go up flights. Overall nice place.

The stay was so so . The staff were not as hospitable as I would have liked. I was also charged $20 to do early check in which I did pay, but I thought that was odd and not in the policy. The parking is also very very limited considering there were a lot of people in this small property. It was not terrible, but I don’t think I will stay there again.

Adequate

This stay was adequate. You get what you pay for, and we were paying for a cheap oceanside stay. The AC is placed in a bad place. I think if it had been placed on the wall on the balcony, it would have cooled better. As it was, the room stayed hot, no matter what. The AC was working and was really cold, if you stood near it, but it doesn't vent well into the room. The beds were uncomfortable, hard, and not enough pillows. Once again, you get what you pay for. The pullout sofa was adequate, as were the beds, and the bathroom was as well. The room did have a full-size fridge, which was a plus, as well as a microwave and a cooktop. The fridge worked very well, to the point that food was frozen in the fridge portion. Which is fine, at least it was cold. There is no elevator, which I was not aware of until after booking us a third-floor room, so be ready to walk up and down fairly narrow stairs. Once again, it was adequate. The pool is AMAZING! If I brought more pillows with me and a fan or two to help circulate the air, I would probably be willing to stay here again for the pool alone. And it is steps from the beach. It was clean, and again, adequate. I mean it's not fancy fancy, but I didn't want to pay fancy prices either. I would recommend staying here, but it is a solid 3/4 star motel. If you don't need fancy, and you can circulate the air in the room and bring pillows, definitely give it a try. We were able to see the ocean from our balcony if we looked over the side.
