First off, it's one short block from the Boardwalk and the beach and it's 1/2 the price of those places that are directly on the Boardwalk. That's what we came for.
The room has an actual kitchenette with sink, range, overstove microwave, pots & pans, dishes & utensils, and a full size refrigerator. Beds were firm-ish and very comfortable. Small table with 3 chairs. Couch (!) And plenty of room to move around in between all these things -- Sweetie was comfortably able to do her exercises on her mat while I comfortably fixed breakfast around her.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The owner, Ben, helped us take our bags up to our 2nd floor room while explaining that it is the off season, so the office isn't staffed 24/7, but he would be nearby at one of his rental properties and we could call him anytime if we wanted something. His assistant (wife?), Jarella ( I think that's it .. I don't always hear things correctly ) had plenty of suggestions for our questions about restaurants and other places to eat and shop nearby. We mentioned liking our coffee every morning and they promptly brought us a coffeemaker (Keurig type), which is not typically supplied in the rooms. We got coffee from the office that first day, then did a quick shopping trip to ALDI for a few supplies, including k-cups.
All-in-all, we were very happy with our decision to stay at the Crystal Sands. It's not extravagant, so it's not expensive, and we had everything we wanted to enjoy our vacation.
