I selected this place for the free breakfast amenities, since traveling breakfast can be an expensive expense. I love the hot and cold options for breakfast. Of course downtown hotels have their cons, due to parking and having to pay. First time using Valet, and it was worth it. The only thing that was not addressed at check in, was how to function the lights in the bathroom - took a minute to realize it was key operated. I would address that to future guests. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for the off season.

The stay was good, not great. Hotel staff were nice, I am aware the valet service is third-party, but it decreased the overall professionalism of the hotel. I was not fully trusting of leaving my car somewhere it is not visible. Other than that, everything was good.

The room was very clean and comfortable, staff was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast bar was well stocked with a good variety of food and beverages. Valet parking was convenient and reasonable. We will definitely stay again.

went for a conference that was literally across the street. happy to have stayed here. keep in mind what others have said regarding the extra money you have to put down as a safety deposit once you arrive. breakfast was good, staff was accommodating. felt safe due in-part to the key only access at the front.

Check in was difficult this time around. The check in desk staff throw my check in time back a full hour. Me and other visitors. It was very unprofessional. We had to wait in the lobby. We reported this to the supervisor and the city for poor staff service. Expedia should investigate this matter at Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown-City Center. Thank you.
