There were a few things on this property that were mis-communicated. One that there was a sauna. The sauna was not working when during our stay. The home itself could have been a little cleaner and the ping pong tables didn't seem to be in working condition. We could have overlooked those things, but when we arrived the water heater didn't work at all. We were forced to spend some of our vacation time searching and researching for alternative places to stay. Once we did find another place to stay it was an easy transition from one home to another with the exception of the fact that 8 people, including my elderly mother all had to pack up and move 40 minutes farther away from the family that we were there to visit. We do understand that these things can happen. In the end we decided to leave a day earlier than expected. Now I've been consistently requested a refund for the past few weeks and there has been no resolution. Beware!

This is the text I sent property manager upon leaving. I waited to hear back how they handled the issues 2 weeks out and they did not verify that the cleaning staff had improved the cleaning, broken things fixed, and would not compensate for having to clean the house for 2 hours ourselves. I texted property manager We had a nice stay. It is a nice house and a great location. I did not text about the house before because we were on vacation and it would not have been restful for our family. We just had a death in the family and needed to be together. Mainly the house needs to have a deep clean. It was not even barely cleaned when we got there. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. There are many areas that need deferred maintenance and it you don't take care of them then it could become significant problems. We have rentals ourselves so understand all this. HOUSE SUGGESTIONSDRYER NEEDS REPAIR, terrible noise(Can’t be in house with it on)Door into master bedroom upstairs: the door is loose on the hinges and is dragging on the floor There should be a working hot water faucet in the main bath upstairs CLEANING: Clean all floors, including under couches and bedsCouches had dust, hair balls, trash, and dirt under them Windowsills were very dirtyView windows in dining room and living room were very dirty. Washed them to enjoy view. Kitchen breaker tripped whenever we used more than one appliance towels and sheets were not clean, they had hair in them and stains

The home had a beautiful view of the ocean & was in a good location for our family reunion group. The place was fairly clean, but a little dusty. It could use some updating & refreshing of paint & caulking. Two of the upstairs bathrooms don't have hot water at the sinks. There's a nice outlook with seating at edge of the yard and a sauna. No hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, including basic spices & coffee/tea. Overall, it suited our needs and was a good home base for us.

The house was in an amazing location, the property management company was extremely responsive and even brought us ice. There were a couple of things I feel like people should know before they rent this house. The cleanliness was not great. The floors were pretty dirty, many of the bedroom windows do not have blinds, the Wi-Fi is awful, I mean awful, the refrigerator turned off three times during our stay the property management company said that they would be sending somebody out to look at that, and they mentioned this in the listing, but they don’t provide very much toilet paper at all, and I found this to be very strange. Most of the beds were pretty comfortable. The twin bedroom with the two twin beds were not good. The landscaping and grounds were not maintained so there was lots of weeds. The house worked perfectly for what we needed, but the quirks were something to be noted.

Great view, major problems with cleanliness

Family stayed for a weekend. Ample room for us all, nice location to gather and beautiful view from many rooms. But it is a dirty property. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a moss covered, filthy front porch and doormat that is well past useful. The silverware, glasses, placemats and cooking utensils were all food covered or dirty. We had to wash everything before use. The primary upstairs shower did not drain at all and the shower curtain hangs well into the tub, so it is a dangerously slippery and disgusting experience. Plunger didn’t work in primary sink since the handle is missing. There was at least one bed pillow with a blood stain. The walls and stairs are dirty and so unappealing to look at. Extremely disappointing for the price we paid and all the added fees for pet (who caused less mess then what we arrived to) and late checkout. Finally, the back deck is an amazing spot to catch the afternoon sun but it is so narrow, it is dangerous for people to get to chairs, lest falling off the edge. This is our fourth annual family trip to celebrate grandmas birthday, so we know there are much nicer places to stay on Whidbey. These owners should clean up and fix up before they offer this place as a rental.

Great view.

The house worked out well for our group of six. The view was wonderful. We watched three eagles one morning. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The house is dated and there was some cleanliness issues. The internet was not satisfactorily. But overall it was a good place to stay for our group.

Great location, needs attention

Nice views but not in good condition. Bathroom toilet in master did not flush at all. Called and they tried to fix but to no avail. Shower curtains were atrocious and would be an easy fix. They are also a tripping hazard. Mattress pad in master was very stained. Fireplace was lovely. Kitchen had lots of pans, dishes, etc. Would not stay again without some changes.

Great location but the house is tired

Beautiful views from the house and close to a number of beaches. That said, the house is very tired and overpriced for what it is. Some beds were comfortable, others were saggy and old. The kitchen was missing some essentials, but after raising them with the property manager, they were delivered (thank you!). For the price, it was very disappointing to not have ample supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing pods and dishwasher soap. These should be included. There were also no dish clothes in the house.

Never again..Disgusting

When we arrived, there was a very foul smell in one of the bedrooms. We quickly realized that one of the twin beds was soaked in urine (the sheets, all the way through to the mattress was saturated). We immediately called Vacasa, but the call center could not get in touch with the local team for almost 24 hours. The smell from the mattress was so bad that we had to put it in the garage which meant that we did not have use the ping pong table in the garage. We then discovered that a comforter on another bed had feces on the underside. It was clear that the comforter had not been washed. Other issues, multiple pots and pans had grease and dried food in the bottom and had to be washed. We had to wash most of the dishes. There was no laundry soap, very minimal dishwasher soap and minimal amenities. The view was beautiful, but the yard was poorly maintained with thorny bushes overgrown on the benches, and the grass was full of thorns/thistles. I will never rent through Vacasa and would NEVER go back to this house.

Excellent location and view…BUT

The view from the patio and living area were amazing. Great location near Oak Harbor, Deception Pass, Coupeville and Anacortes. The house fit our needs for a large group and was sufficiently supplied. However…most of the beds were very uncomfortable. Especially the king room on the main floor. Vacasa, PLEASE replace this mattress before you rent this house again. One half of the mattress was unusable. Our group occupied every room and had no choice but to use it. Also, what exactly was my cleaning fee used for? Cobwebs in the windows and doorways. Dust bunnies abound. The best feature of this house is the windows facing the Salish Sea. How about washing them between rentals, or ever? I initially gave 4/5 upon our arrival late in the evening. I’ll give a 3/5 at best because the kitchen and bathrooms were clean at least. Could be a wonderful rental with some updates and more thorough cleaning.

Location, location, location

The view from the many windows is amazing, and the house is conveniently located to all that you’re going to want to do in Whidbey. It’s large, and comfortably held 10 people from 3 families. It was clean. Vacasa did their job and we had no complaints on that score. Foosball was a big hit. But it’s not a luxury experience, or one otherwise commensurate with the money charged in the summer. It felt like Grandma’s house, largely abandoned by the heirs, and it wasn’t that nice to begin with. Weird chandeliers, thin walls, dated furniture, mishmash kitchen, no art on the walls, bathrooms that have seen better days. Mostly didn’t matter, except for the thin cheap towels and the mattress downstairs that creaks so loudly we gave over that (large, King, en suite) bedroom to one kid who wouldn’t wake anyone else up. So overall…fine, but not s 5-star experience.

5 day Whidbey stay

Overall very pleased with the house. Loved the ping-pong table and the foosball. 2 minor things: toilet bowl upstairs in the master bedroom doesn’t reliably flush. Needs 2-3 attempts. Second, the pillows for the bedrooms need replacing. They are worn out and not comfortable. Additionally, there was a plastic mattress cover on the downstairs King size bed. It crinkled and made noise. All minor and fixable things. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay and appreciate such a large multi bedroom house.

A Whidbey Island holiday!

The property is perfectly located to enjoy all that Whidbey Island has to offer - great access to state parks, the quaint towns of Coupeville and Langley and an easy day trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic peninsula! The property could use some upgrades, especially the beds - other than that, it was a good place for our whole family to stay.

Eagles and Orcas in the front yard!!!

Great property for large family gathering. Watched Eagles soaring every day and Orcas breaching on our last morning. Highly recommend.
