Luxury townhouse this is not

The townhouse is outdated, dark, poorly lit although it is spacious. Counters were chipped, mirrors damaged and some windows and blinds not working. The resort is beautiful and the facilities at the resort were great. We especially enjoyed socializing by the new firepit and the new pool and hot tub.

The Not-clean house

I was very disappointed upon arrival. We have stayed at Deer Park many times in the last 10 years and were never "surprised" as we were upon walking in to the home. While the owners granted us early entry "after coordinating with the cleaners" which to me meant that if the cleaners were not finished we would not be allowed to enter early. Instead it meant that the house was not fully cleaned and prepped for our arrival. We found the bunk beds not made, bathroom sinks not cleaned and in the bunk room closet bedding that looked like it had been stripped from a bed, rolled up and stuck in the closet- including the mattress protector. And in one bathroom, a soggy bathmat. I did not contact the owners because I do not like spending MY vacation waiting for a stranger to enter our rental to rectify what should have been taken care of before our arrival. The house is very dated and the kitchen was not as well-appointed as I would like. Several light switches seemed to do nothing -labeling them would be helpful. Very basic cooking items only. Lastly the small niceties that we are used to with a VRBO rental were lacking, a welcome book, extra toilet paper, paper towels, fresh sponge for dishes. As to the description "A Home Luxury resort 3-bed 3-bath townhouse sleeps 8", yes, it was A HOME in a luxury resort but the home itself was not luxurious. We had good weather and a good stay but felt the house was not worth the money paid.

We enjoyed staying at this property . We Loved the location and the AC . There were plenty of towels and chairs . It had a nice deck with Bbq grill and an outside table.!we love the lake and the pool at deer park for the little grandchildren.

Great place to stay

We had a great stay in this condo. The bedrooms were big and comfortable and had their own mini split AC units which was nice to have! Quiet area and not too bad of a walk to the water. Might be far for little kids but my teens had no issues. Responsive owners and would rent again.

Deer Park in North Conway

Had a wonderful 7 day Thanksgiving vacation at Deer Park. Happy to have first floor bedroom and more agile family members took top two bedrooms. Having 3 bathrooms was an extra bonus. The fireplace was a delight and hosts were responsive in making our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Deer Park, a legendary resort

Tough to beat the location and amenities of Deer Park although the pool was under repair. Our unit was a classic rental with few upgrades, dated furniture, original carpets, and bare bones sleep comfort, it was accommodating

Unfortunate

There was an issue with the heating putting off a strong burning chemical smell. The host was great about communication with this issue. However we had to leave a day early. We were not refunded for the night we stayed but did receive $ for the night we didn’t stay. It would have been nice to receive a full refund. That was unfortunate and really wished we didn’t stay the night. But- we were tired from skiing and stayed. I wouldn’t recommend this place for kids.
