My girlfriends and I came down for a nice relaxing weekend. All of us are in our late 40s-50s with grown children. We are all very familiar with the area and had picked this condo for its accessibility to Barefoot Landing. We rented a 3 bedroom condo, one with 2 queen size beds and then two Kings plenty of room for group of 8. On the first night we asked for additional parking passes as we were from different locations. We were told that that was not possible however, we did not get towed which was a relief. It had snowed earlier in the week. The parking lot through the weekend was covered in ice and very dangerous but we managed. The condo itself was nice could have used a good cleaning, couches were stained and dirty with food items and trash, floors were a bit sticky, etc. We are not complainers so went about our business and purchased a few things along with cleaning up a bit. Now to get to part that is very upsetting. After check out she received an email stating thank you for leaving the place in great shape. Two or three days after returning home, my friend that had reserved the condo received an email stating that her card had been charged an additional $300 for extra cleaning! The condo was left in better shape than when we arrived. They said it looked like we had a frat party lol!! We have disputed this and her money was returned but it seems that this is something that the owners/property managers likely get away with often. Beware when renting this condo!
