We were assigned a room that was not the one we booked, when we brought this to their attention we were told that the photos were for marketing so there is no sitting area in the actual room as shown on the pics. We were then told the hotel is fully booked and they can’t move us, they then found a room to move us to part way through our stay. We were also told they have NO rooms with 2 queens and a sofa as seen in the pics of the one we booked, but magically we got one part way through our stay. We were also charged for drinks/dinner that we did not have (so random charges on our credit card), and the front desk refused to resolve when we were checking out. Drinks were not good (the ones we actually had and rightfully paid for). Entertainment was not that great.

The Mill is a gem of a hotel. They offer excellent amenities with a wonderful breakfast included in the room price. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beach shuttle is super easy to use but it is also an easy walk to the beach.

We arrived in Aruba and we were not able to stay where we originally planned to and booked a room here at The Mill last minute. Our stay was amazing, we were greeted by Anderson, who got us checked in and helped us get our bags to our rooms. Miguel, Nelson and Byram at the bar were so fun and engaging! Jose Daniel at the pool kept us very hydrated during the day with our drinks. Roslene, the supervisor/manager over dining services always smiling and happy. The resort was so clean and beautiful, all of the staff very happy and friendly. We will definitely be coming back and staying on our next trip to Aruba!!

This is our third visit to The Mills/Courtyard by Marriott. Our experience on the island was excellent, as always; however, we cannot say the same about the hotel. Unfortunately, the customer service was poor. The staff was very slow, and we spent almost three hours each time we ordered food. For instance, one night I ordered spaghetti, and it took exactly two hours and sixteen minutes to arrive. On the first day, we had lunch with family at the restaurant, and, as mentioned, we spent three hours there. The same server we had during lunch ignored us at dinner. A couple at the next table even had to intervene and tell him that we had been waiting for over 40 minutes. Eventually, we had to go to the bar ourselves to ask the bartender for our food. On a positive note, the front desk staff provided excellent service, and the housekeeping staff was attentive, as always. However, we do not plan to stay at this hotel again. We ordered chicken soup to go, but they served us onion soup instead. It felt as though the staff did not want to work and treated us poorly. The servers were very rude. It's a shame because we loved our previous stays at this hotel, but I can't risk my vacations like this. It was not just one bad experience with a single worker; there were multiple issues.
