This was our first apartment stay managed by a vacation rental company, and we were disappointed by the lack of contact and language barrier. Messaging from a US cell phone was never answered, emails took 24+ hours for a response and usually did not address the issue being presented. Chairs with broken legs took 3 days to fix, cabinet hinges loose and falling off were fixed by us, as the repairman didn’t have a Philips head skrewdriver. Housekeeping was wonderful once we were able to use bits of Spanish and sign language, but further requests for cleaning/fresh towels went unanswered.
We could have used direction on using the room safe, multiple tv remotes, and the fact that the only hot water is in the shower. We were the oldest couple staying there (retired), so maybe that was our downfall?
Next time we will rent from a private owner, and get the care we’ve come to expect.
