The room was clean and warm :-) and the gentleman who checked us in was super pleasant. We both slept great that night! It was close to where we had dinner reservations for our anniversary.. The Old Courthouse, so very conveniently located.

The first week they stayed, my guys dealt with flooding in their room. We decided to give the hotel another chance, and the next week there was no hot water. These are construction guys, and the hotels they stay at are their homes during the week. When hotels.com reached out to them to try and get us a refund, Newport Motel didn't answer their phones or contact them back.

No one picked up the phone ALL WEEK. And the maid never cleaned the room. Had to sleep on top of the covers, the sheets were slept in and dirty. Trash all over the room. Never cleaned. And no internet as promised.

No one to receive my party and give out room keys. They did not have record of my reservation. No contacts at motel or Expedia. Emergency number was forwarded to a realtor. Call ahead for 9:00 pm check in was confirmed then ignored. We were very stressed out that we might have to sleep in car in subfreezing temperatures. Did anything go right? No!

We arrived late at night and were only there for a few hours to rest our head. I was confronted by a woman outside telling me that everything of hers had been stolen, but was unable to tell me by whom or how, which was unsettling. We got to our room and were immediately hit with a strong smell of cleaning products. So at least we knew the room was clean, however, I get migraines pretty easily. The whole room was outdated, nothing compared to the photos online. The beds were extra springy, but did have a television that worked. It was very close to the highway which wasn’t ideal, there was very little traffic at least.
