The pet fee wasn’t clear enough that there’s a mandatory $150 cleaning fee that they waived. It’s a gratuitous cash grab. So is the resort fee of $45 that allows the property to list attractively on Expedia as it’s not included as a room fee. It’s total garbage. Lastly, there’s so much deferred maintenance that to call this a 4-star property is a cruel joke on 3-star assets. Hotel Viking offers the promise of timeless elegance but all it really delivers is a sad reality of an ownership group trying desperately to pick their customers’ pockets of pennies.
