Hotel was very clean! Self service was easy with all the extras provided. Friendly cleaning staff first thing in the AM that was respectful, friendly and helpful!
Convenient location but outside on highway shows a different hotel name and only place that showed The Trail Inn was on a door at the office. Also the instructions to get the key were contactless but worked out. Room clean and good value for money.
Before arrival, we received a code via text with instructions how to get our room key from the key dispenser. It was very easy to use. Room 111 was clean and comfortable. Pretty quiet. Bed was a bit firm, king pillows, we slept well. Has Roku tv. Dove soaps. Ice in buckets in lobby. The only thing I could complain about is at almost 2am our TV turned on, the brightness woke us up. We turned it back off and slept the rest of the night. Price was reasonable, I'd stay again.
We had a lot of fun together in the room, after not seeeach other for several years The room was quiet and clean. The beds wer extreme comfortable.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!The room was OK, smelled pretty rank but we only slept there a few hours... arrived late and left early the next morning. I was visiting Tahquamenon Falls with my son, I am from the Detroit area. When I arrived home 3 days later I found that The Trail Inn had stolen $220 from my bank account 2 days after my stay. I had received no email or phone call. When I inquired why the front desk didn't know why and put me on hold for 5 minutes and then told me "The room had to be shut down for cigarette smoke damage, We have proof, we have a picture of the table with ashes on it" This is 100% BS. We do not smoke and did not smoke. Funny the smoke alarm didn't go off?? I wiped down the table before I left as I always do. They can pull this crap on anyone, they probably have a stock photo of a table with ashes on it so they can embezzle from whoever they feel like knowing that I'm in the lower peninsula and probably won't pursue it. Thankfully my bank reversed this fraudulent charge. Expedia did not help me at all either. They were rude to me on the phone and actually hung up on me. I will never use Expedia again. STAY AWAY FROM THE TRAIL INN!!
