Can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I went to WWE Summer Slam & needed a nice hotel away from Newark! This hotel was the best- staff was so helpful and sweet and welcoming. We stayed in the Jen room and it was so comfortable, and homey!! We loved the candy closet, the library room, the gym & the breakfast service!

Loved the breakfast. Fresh bagels and other healthy options available. Coffee and expresso options included. Bed was solid and pillows luxurious. Overall very nice. Loved the extra touches put in. Highly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed at The George many times and it’s always a pleasure. Every room is unique. The included breakfast is great. They have a social hour each night with wine in the library. The neighborhood is perfect for walking and close to downtown.

We booked a last minute reservation at The George due to a power outage at our home (we are local), and they were able to accommodate my family and our two dogs quickly and seamlessly. The check in was quick and easy, my teenager LOVED the candy closet on the first floor, and our room was blessedly cool and comfortable. When we had an issue with the television, the staff member instantly arrived and resolved the issue. While we didn't take advantage of the offered breakfast, we will be sure to do so next time.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my experience staying here. From the moment we arrived, I was touched by the warmth of everyone working here — kind, gracious, and effortlessly elegant. The lobby is tastefully decorated, and the surrounding streets are just as beautiful. We were given a room with thoughtful care — peaceful, full of natural light, and with lush greenery outside the window. At breakfast, I was delighted to find a grapefruit spoon, organic honey, and hazelnut chocolate spread — all the little things I love, as if the universe was gently looking out for me c: This was my first trip away from home, and choosing to stay here made me feel lucky.
