Very subpar service and breakfast

Front desk people are very aloof. Do converce or do something without paying attention to guests. Answer questions with attitude of trying to be bit arrogant and annoyed. So you don't want even to request why safe box is not working or internet for that matter. Breakfast menu is very subpar for the price of accomodation. Good location though.

I booked a three night stay @ your Newark NJ, Airport location from 6/22-6/25 my first night the air conditioner was not working in the room, when I told the front desk I was given another room, unfortunately the air was not working in that room either. I was then given another room only to wake up the next morning and find out there was no hot water in that room. I was given the key to another room to shower and get dressed. I have been compensated for two nights, based on the level of inconvenience I experienced I feel I should be compensated for the entire stay. Two nights in a row I had pack-up my belongings and move to another room only to have to move again. I expected so much more from the Hampton Inn, and I will definitely share my experience with, family, friends.

Only one person at front desk working night shift and the same person worked the next morning shift lots of people checking in and out since its so close to the airport, seemed overworked and understaffed. Gated parking lot was full. Room was clean, Ice maker didn't work on our floor, breakfast was just ok.

The staff was very friendly. Check in and out was easy. We appreciated the hotel shuttle running 24/7 as we got in late from an international flight. It’s conveniently located near the airport with free breakfast. However, they can do a better job cleaning as our room smelled and we had dirty towels placed for us.

Is anyone home?

The day shift front desk woman was completely not helpful. I walked in at 9am to make sure I had 2 rooms next to each other. She could only find 1 room, out of 2. She made no attempt to find my other room. Didn't ask me for a confirmation number or anything, just stared at me. After I figured it out, she said fine, no problem. Arrived 12 hrs later, they gave me a 7th floor and 5th floor room. What happened to my 2 rooms together this morning? She did nothing, completely lied to me. Night shift guy was very friendly and moved us around. Then my card was declined. I never did get that sorted. Checked out in the morning, woman was back. Waited at the unattended front desk. Where was she? Hiding behind the wall with her phone. Does does a lot of talk but no actual work. Im still waiting for my receipt. Will not be back.

The room was clean and comfortable. However, I chose this hotel mainly because the listing stated that an airport shuttle was included and operated every 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Upon arrival on a late-night flight, there was no shuttle waiting, and I ended up waiting for about 50 minutes. I was only able to get on the shuttle after several phone calls. During that time, I saw other hotel shuttles running every 15 minutes. On the day of checkout, I faced another delay. Although the shuttle arrived, I was told the driver needed a 30-minute break before departure, so I had to wait around 50 minutes. If you have a tight flight schedule, I strongly recommend confirming the shuttle availability and timing before booking.

The room was nice. The breakfast was just ok. I did like that they have a shuttle to the airport and one to Cape Liberty ( it did cost $35). And don't forget to tip the driver. The front desk employees weren't very friendly. But the bed was very cozy.

I wish I had listened to the reviews. No hot water after 7 am. Because of the hotel was full. Unacceptable. I have stayed at plenty of full hotels. Never had hot water issues ever. No housekeeping at all. When I asked the front desk she rolled her eyes and didn't even care. The grounds are filthy garbage overflowing. The room smelled of sewage. The only bright spot of our stay was the bartender who really cared and was very apologetic. By far the worse experience I've ever experienced.

The amphibian of the hotel is good. Unfortunately, the bathroom shower tub needs proper maintenance. After shower the water will sit for long before going down into the trap. It needs quick intervention
