The apartment was nice, and clean. A few issues that I think the owner needs to address. Issues around the tub, the bathroom sink that look like someone stepped in and cracked it, and it was glued back together, the bed is way to low to the ground (some people have issues getting in and out of bed), the nasty looking area around one of the ceiling light's ( looks like water damaged and was black/moldy looking), couch was super hard and uncomfortable, and the dish washer is to small for the space it's in, kept having to pull it forward every time the door was closed. Not the original unit I booked, and did not know what it looked like. When you own a place and rent it out, you should really fix the major issues and make the place look presentable. I was more worried about the black/moldy spot I had to look at every night I went to bed, that could really make someone sick.

We were moved to Factor Row due to lease cancelation at Canal. Apartment was clean and nicely furnished. A/c Stooped working and we had to move units. The staff responded quickly to inquiry. Clise walk to eveything. I would stay again.

The place itself was nice. Very spacious. However there's is no security, and with people standing on the corner by our door trying to get in was not comforting. Didn't like the fact that had to watch my surroundings every time in going back to the room. You will get robbed if you're not paying attention. I wish Roami would've provided more towels and rags. We had a leak in our closet and its was pretty difficult to get someone to fix it. When they did come our stay was pretty much over. So the process of booking with Roami and checking in and out was great. That part we loved. The place itself with no security just didn't feel safe. Would only recommend if there's big group.

Roami 714 Canal is a fantastic property. Great location that is close to CVS or Walgreens and places to eat. Cajun Mikes Pub & Grub is a block away and had fantastic poboys and sandwiches. The

714 Roami was ok. It is right at the beginning of all the action on Bourbon. We could hear and see all the action. The big picturesque windows gave us front row seats and allowed us to people watch. With that, all the riff raff frolicks right outside the main entrance which requires keypad access. Safety was definitely a concern for us. Every time we would come in, we would have to hurry and pull the door to make sure it locks and people would be knocking on the glass telling us to let them in. When we left we hurried to push the door close so no one would try to catch the door to access the building. Our apartment was literally next to the emergency stairwell. We immediately noticed balls of tape and tissue stuffed in the corners of the door jam so that it wouldn’t close and secure properly. When contacted Roami immediately about that as a safety concern and hazard and also inquiring if this is supposed be like that, the lady answering told me she didn’t have the answer and would put in a ticket and someone would contact me the next day. Considering my family deemed this as a safety concern, we removed it and securely closed the door. Turns out the stairwell on the main floor was like this as well. Dead cockroaches stayed in the same spot for 2 days in the main hallway. Gnats were everywhere including our 2 units. Toilets were broken, maintenance came a day later didn’t have tools he needed and didn’t return. Bedroom ceiling and closet leaking, floor and furniture wet.

My experience with this property was a beautiful one. However, I didn't like the idea that they don't rent to local residents, and I happened to be a local but wanted to be close to festivals. They reasoned and accommoded my say. However it was a inconvenience, as a local not to have the same opportunity as none locals. Meanwhile, the property was clean, safe and right on the canal strip. My only down fall was when I calling for a broom and mop I never received it and upon arrival I noticed the bathroom sink was stopped up and I called the main number for maintenance but no one came to fix it. Other than those minor issues. It was a beautiful, clean, peaceful, private and roomy property.
