We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very welcoming - ESPECIALLY ALEX C (front desk) - and we appreciated the readiness of everyone we met to offer assistance. The complimentary glass of wine in the lobby was a nice touch! Maintenance (sorry, I didn't get his name) was prompt and attended to our late-night TV problems (the TV would not stay off; he reprogrammed it). The room was clean, suitable for us, and reasonably priced for the location. The beds were VERY comfortable, too! The food and service at the restaurant were world-class (I'm now stuck wanting the cheese board again upon our next visit). Thank you, Jason, for taking good care of us across multiple evenings. Gospel (the corner coffee shop) is also a nice touch! Good coffee and tasty pastries. And THANK YOU for being pet-friendly! Didn't know about the (per survey) alleged "free" breakfast and the $45.84 price for four little flavorless room service eggs and two servings of grits was insane. $4 per egg? REALLY? Kudos to ALEX C, JASON, and to the maintenance tech for making our stay particularly pleasant. We are looking forward to booking again the next time we're in New Orleans.

So-so stay

The mini fridge wasn't working when I checked in. I also only had 2 towels, no hand towels or bath mat, and the bathroom floor was very slippery when wet. The hotel brought another large fridge, which they deposited on top of the desk. The room shared a wall with another room that had a dog. The dog whined and barked all night, and again in the morning. I could hear everything through the wall. I had to leave early to work in peace. The hotel looks nice, maybe a little scuffed, but my experience was not good.
