This house has everything. It’s at the end of a dead-end. Very private. Beautiful high lake view. Plenty of outdoor space. Plenty of parking. We were 10 ladies celebrating over 50 years of friendship. Plenty of beds for everyone to have their own. It was a beautiful weekend. The house offered plenty of entertainment. Very comfortable. The host/owner greeted us and walked us through the expansive home. He was very responsive and answered quickly. He facilitated our boat rental and captain. We stayed in and cooked both nights. The house is well equipped. This is not an income property and is his personal home.

Great Weekend

We stayed for a birthday weekend with a few other couples and had a great time. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and each 'area' of the house is incredibly comfortable (especially the movie theater). If you need anything there are plenty of stores close by and the area is very safe. Overall, no complaints and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Great space for intimate wedding

We had a small wedding with 16 guests and this was the perfect property for it! It had everything we needed and offered a lot of unique features that most properties don’t have. We had the best wedding weekend here and are so thankful!

Great stay by the lake

Very large house just like the photos. Host is present and responsive. We had the entire property to ourselves. Nice yard for some whiffle ball and outdoor activities. Swimming is possible at the public lake access which is about a mile away or so. Overall, a very nice stay at a very nice property. We were 10 adults (friends weekend) and fit just fine.

Amazing house and location

11 of us stayed at this wonderful house for a bachelor party. Host was amazing and so accommodating! House was clean and had everything we needed and more. Music studio, theater/night club, game room, tv room, bed rooms, state of the art kitchen, hot tub and lots of our door space with views over looking the lake. Amazing stay, we’d love to go back soon!

Multi generational family reunion

Celebrated my dad’s 96th birthday! House was big enough to accommodate everyone’s needs. Chef’s kitchen and entire house well equipped for feeding and caring for a large group! Rain day filled with lots of activity—billiards, shuffle board, large screen theatre all used. Property manager very responsive to questions and needs. Highly recommend for a party of any kind.

Fun for all ages!

We had three generations, ages 8-80, gather for a few days in Peter's exceptional home. The lake is gorgeous, the community has great amenities, and the home is huge and filled with fun. Karaoke, movies, games, and plenty of space to spread out (important for our group and helpful on a rainy day). Only wish we had more time and definitely hope to return!

Fantastic place for a summer friend gathering

We stayed here for my friend's low-key bachelorette party. Peter was a great and responsive host, and the property was wonderful. We sang lots of karaoke and enjoyed cocktails on the large deck with beautiful views. Access to the community beach club was a big plus. Everyone had a great time and was really impressed with this property. Highly recommend it!

Great thanksgiving stay

Fun property in beautiful location

Peter made our stay easy and convenient, we had a great time cooking for our party of 8 in the kitchen and enjoyed spectacular views from the hot tub. He was very responsive and helpful with explaining the house and the built in technology for music and movie streaming is terrific. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a group getaway where you can have all the fun activities you want without even leaving the home!

Perfect gals getaway

This was the perfect spot for a girls getaway in celebration of my mom and sister's birthdays! Ample space for a large group, lots of indoor activities, and easy access to fun activities in the neighborhood. Would love to stay here again!

Amazing weekend!

Came for a weekend away from the city with a group of girls! We had the absolute best time! This house is made for entertaining and at the same time super cozy for a movie night or relaxing. Communication was quick and easy! Couldn’t ask for a better weekend

Fantastic home and location

This house is exactly as advertised - all the bells and whistles worked and then some. Peter met us for a walkthrough and instructions on the many amenities the home, which was very helpful. The house is beautiful and all the furniture and finishes are top of the line - no rental-quality stuff here! It was the perfect spot for our group of friends to spend a weekend on the lake. Plenty of space with lots of entertainment. We never left except for spending a morning on the lake (and Peter has great boat rental recommendations!). Peter is very friendly, was always available for questions, and even complimented us on our cleaning job (which is rare for a host!) 10/10 would stay again.

Beautiful Location

Great location for an event or family gathering. It's a little difficult to get to and off the beaten path (which may be a good thing). Amenities are excellent, could use a little more outdoor furniture or some new furniture outside. It has beautiful lake views but is a very long walk or a short ride to the water, but once there Candlewood Lake is great.

Better than advertised

The house and property were ideal for our group of friends. Clean, and organized, and all technology (so many great and convenient gadgets) worked perfectly with explanations and instructions provided if needed. The property is perfectly maintained with great views of the lake. Would recommend it to anyone looking to relax with plenty of privacy and space for any activity.

5 STAR PROPERTY is an understatement! It was exactly as described in the listing and so much more! There is so much to experience on property making it extremely difficult to depart. From the large theater room with surround sound and plush leather recliners to the fully equipped karaoke studio offering online access to all your favorite tunes, this home has it ALL! Whether it's gaming, shooting a game of pool or engaging in a one on one ping pong challenge championship, there's never a shortage of activities and something for everyone! And if romance is what you crave... I highly recommend pouring yourself a cocktail at sunset before slipping into the most deliciously positioned and well maintained hot tub! While gazing upon Lake Candlewood, you'll enjoy a front row seat to a stage honoring clear skies and dancing constellations! It seems your host, Peter, thought of every meticulous detail making this home a recipe for perfection! The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining and creating a masterful feast, and the outdoor spaces make it nothing short of priceless for family gatherings and reunions! Additionally, the home feels like a 5-Star boutique resort! It's tidy, clean, and well maintained. I myself prioritize a good night's rest while on vacation and I must say, without hesitation that the master suite most certainly offers a such an experience with a king size bed not soon forgotten! And, no worries... food and spirit provisions are only minutes away, and if the detailed instructional guides lack the answers you seek, Peter is a phone call away! He was a "rock star" host and available when needed. I not only highly recommend this property, I want to LIVE THERE! Yes ... we will be back...
