In the flesh. You saw this from five miles away if you took a gander at my post showing Mt. Baker in the background. Here's a life-sized version.
The New Dungeness Lighthouse is a 5 mile hike (10 r/t) on a naturally formed sand spit. Volunteers live at the lighthouse for a week at a time and provide tours and perform other duties to keep up the property. It is open year around but leave your 4 legged friends at home. This is also a wildlife refuge. #TakeAHike
A beautiful destination if you like to walk. 5 1/2 miles one way to get there..or if you kayak you can paddle too.

With a stay at Ocean Star Inn in Sequim (Sunrise), you'll be a 2-minute drive from Museum and Art Center and 7 minutes from Sequim Bay State Park.
The room was very spacious and clean! The breakfast was always well stocked and had lots of options. The staff is also very kind and helpful. I will stay here again when I come back!

Clean room comfortable beds. Neighbors were a little loud fridge sounded like it was an old school copy machine otherwise nice stay we'll be back
