Book one so you can make the 8-km drive from the capital city of Noumea to see the impressive hut pavilions of the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Centre.
If you’re staying in the Noumea during your New Caledonia holiday, the Galerie Commerciale Port Plaisance is a great place to blow a stack of CFP francs. You can pick up high fashion pieces from the hottest French companies or locally made items from New Caledonian merchants. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially Jeremy who greeted us by name every time we entered reception. The staff who provided the daily room service were friendly and did a fabulous job. Our three bedroom apartment on level 8 was spacious and had glorious views across the lagoon.
