COLOR WITH PANORAMA AND RENOVATED PARKING

Color i is beautifully situated on the eastern banks of one of the two southern branches of Lake Como, commanding a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Directly on the shores of Lake Como, immersed in the imposing mountain, you will find small towns and villages such as Careno, a small suburb of Nesso. In Careno, for example, the architecture is quite unique, the houses seem to cling to the mountain only so you can get that perfect free view of the lake.

The Color House is located on the side of the lake shore road. About 100 meters walk down though small romantic alleys to get to the lake and a small beach. Under Casa Colors there are other apartments that are owned by the owner`s house brother and are all used, exclusively, as holiday apartments. The neighborhood consists of similar houses and a beautiful church.
The Casa Colori apartment is facing south-west with a nice balcony where you can enjoy the sun and the breathtaking view from midday until sunset. If you are tired of the lake and the mountains, maybe you'll be lucky and catch a glimpse of George Clooney, as his villa is right in front of the apartment. So, do not forget to bring the binoculars! Casa Colori has two large balconies, south-west and west, which are the ideal place to relax, sunbathe or an intimate dinner while watching the sunset. Beach chairs are available. A small garden above the shore road with wonderful lake views, equipped with barbecue, sun loungers and dining area (covered).
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Conveniences include a microwave and an electric kettle.

A true Como experience

A special little spot in the lake with an even more special walk down curved cobblestone streets to a swimming spot. I wish i had been warned that the only restaurants/ places to get food within miles would be closed during our stay. Fortunately our gracious hosts supplied us with a bottle of wine and a box of pasta and jar of sauce! Not ideal but kept us from starving! Thank you!!!!

Beautiful view but terrible management

The apartment had a great view and was clean, however there were a number of issues: 1) The mobile platform of VRBO does not show the owner requires you to read the gas meter at the beginning and ending of your stay and calculate an additional payment for heating and air conditioning. 2) They require a checkout of 8am, which is highly unreasonable. 3) The shower is very small and uncomfortable. 4) There is a church next door that rings loud church bells very frequently. 5) Thr house was not designed for 5 guests even though the owners have listed it as so. The apartment is very small. 6) When I raised the concern about the gas payment to the owner, she filed a formal complaint against me for causing her trouble to Home Away. Beware of all these issues before you book!

Stunning!

The views from this apartment are stunning! And the hosts were great. They met us at the bus station, which is basically right across the street. The town of Careno is very small and only has one very small (but delicious) restaurant, so the hosts provided some small breakfast and dinner pieces as well as a bottle of wine. We highly recommend this spot for a quiet getaway.

Urlaubsfeeling pur

Die Ferienwohnung war erstaunlich groß, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Freies WLAN bei zwei jugendlichen Kindern und eine Klimaanlage bei Sommertemperaturen trugen zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt bei. Der Parkplatz ist unbezahlbar, da sonst alles sehr eng ist, und die Terrasse zum Grillen lag abends im Schatten und war auch sehr schön. Der Weg zu ihr führt über einige Stufen, wie eigentlich alles in dieser Gegend. Der Weg zum See führte durch eine sehr schöne, stufenreiche Gasse. Der Seezugang ist wunderbar und Schwimmen im See traumhaft. Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Urlaub hier. Vielen Dank!

Gîte de qualité, rénové récemment, confortable et spacieux, à part la cuisine, un peu petite (OK pour nous, nous étions 3). Une vue magnifique et simplement lénifiante depuis la terrasse et les chambres sur le sud du Lac. Présence d'un grand emplacement de parking réservé, appréciable voire indispensable dans la région ! Propriétaires très sympathiques et sérieux. Parfois un peu bruyant (grand route à proximité)... d'où la limite à 4 étoiles. A part cela, parfait ! Bref, séjour excellent et endroit à retenir.

erholsamer Aufenthalt in stilvoller historischer Umgebung

Wie waren angenehm überrascht von dem homogenen Umfeld historischer Bauten eines pittoresken Dorfes am Comer See mit wunderschönem Seeblick und Nähe zur Kirche und einem kleinen keineswegs überlaufenen Strand. Auch der Garten auf der anderen Straßenseite bot ein tolles Ambiente zum Grillen und Auslauf für die Hunde. Alles bestens, gerne wieder.
