Nice apartment in lovely Nerja, but be aware of the challenges

Spacious apartment with good size balcony, sunny from around midday & close to Burriana beach. Nerja centre 15-20 mins walk away. However, before booking suggest read previous reviews, specifically about key collection/drop off procedure from location 30 minutes walk down & uphill, or 10 euro taxi ride away if no hire car. Particularly challenging if you have an early flight. Also step access to beach & bars/restaurants access to town (86 steps)..However,

Perfect stay

We recently stayed for one week in Helens apartment. Overall we had a great time. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony was great, lovely views and plenty of sun! Location for us was really good as well. We would recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of coming to Nerja.

Fantastic place

The photos here don't do this apartment justice - it was much more spacious and lovely in real life. The sofa beds are large and the main bed is very comfortable. The balcony had a wonderful view of the sea and it's the perfect place to have breakfast and dinner. We loved the bbq on the terrace too. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and has absolutely everything you need. There are also beach umbrellas, chairs, snorkels, and even beach toys for the kids. There is also a little shelf with books to read and loads of board games to play. The location is superb - the beach is about a 7 minute walk away. It has lots of stairs but we managed with a three year old. The nearest supermarket is on the beach, but there is a cheaper supermarket - Mercadona, which is a 15-20 minute walk away. The beach is fantastic - it is mainly calm with gentle waves which is perfect for small children and if you go to the left hand side of the beach right at the end, the water is crystal clear and has lots of fish that you can enjoy watching with your snorkel. There is a chiringuito called "Ayo" on this end with great grilled sardines and paella where the locals eat and its cheap and wonderfully noisy. Helen, the owner was also great at communicating with us when we had any questions or issues. We would definitely come back here - it is great value for money and I think this is now our favourite beach in Andalusia.

Lovely place to recharge your batteries

Nice view from the balcony, the apartament has everything you need for your stay. 5 minutes walk to the beach ⛱️ The only downside is the check in / check out process, it would be easier to have one of those minisafes to store the keys in. We had a lovely stay, thank you 😊

Good location for Burriana beach and its restaurants. Well equipped with BBQ and lovely large balcony with sea views. Also has chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Only small issue was having to pick up and drop back the keys from hotel the other side of Nerja by taxi. Enjoyed our week in Nerja

Back to Nerja Again !!

Back again for the 5th time, apartment is in the perfect location, short walk to the beech 10 minutes stroll to the town with plenty of private parking, it has all we needed 2 TVs, internet, ample supply of cooking, eating & drinking utensils. Ideal for sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine in had watching the sun go day, looking forward to returning soon

Comfortable apartment just a short distance from the beach

The property is equipped with everything you may need for a stay. Location is ideal - far enough from parties noise but within a short distance from the beach. Note that Nerja is on the hills and there are 60 steps down/up to the street, however it is almost everywhere. The owner has been very welcoming, communication was very easy. I read reviews that someone complained about keys pickup process - this was not an issue for us to stop by that place. Also, someone noted that the apartment is not “shiny”. We found it to be great for our taste and the price is very affordable. Thanks!

Our 4th time in this apartment, has everything we need, fully stocked cutlery, pots & pans etc. TV/DVD/Internet all worked well. Very nice balcony that gets the sun from approx. noon (in April) until sunset. New towels and a mattress made for a good nights sleep, short walk to the beach or into town. Super powerful shower and plenty of hot water if needed

Last Minute Get Away

3rd time in this property, ideal location as you get the sun in the evening on the balcony until it sets. Equipped with everything we needed, WiFi, TV, DVD player. Kitchen fully stocked, bed is very comfy & 2 sofas in the lounge. Parking is almost next to the property and is in a "private" car park so no having to park on the road. Steps...yes it has steps..Nerja is hilly if you dont like hills Nerja is not for you, having said that its all downhill to the beach. Did we like it, well we have booked again for next year....cant wait

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

This location is perfect for both the beach and town. My husband and I had a lovely 5 days in beautiful Nerja. The apartment is 5 mins to Burriana Beach, which is gorgeous with a huge selection of places to eat and 10 mins walk to the vibrant town. There are a lot steps to the apartment, as others have said in the reviews. if you have mobility issues then it isn’t for you. I didn’t find it a problem. Nerja itself is quite hilly. The apartment itself has parking, which is a huge bonus in Nerja. It is well equipped and the air conditioning is excellent. It’s nice to sit on the balcony and admire the views. The collection of the keys is easy if you have a car. My only criticism is that overall this apartment is tired and would benefit from some TLC, however, it was good value for money.

Very good location and very good value for money. There are 89 steps to the beach, but this was not a problem. Modern is stretching it a bit, kitchen and bathroom are more than 20 years old, but they work effectively. Some new towels would be an improvement. The terrace is great and it was nice to find some additional equipment for the beach although some of it has seen better days. New TV and satellite receiver could do with some improved instructions. We managed to find the BBC channels, but nothing else in English. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the apartment.

We had a fantastic time & will be returning next yr . The beach is around 4/5 min walk from apartment there are shops mini market bars & restaurants 4 mins away . The apartment is fantastic &spacious , the aircon was a god send ,everything you need to cook is there the bbq on the balcony is great

Nerja apartment

Lovely clean and spacious one bedroom property with all amenities needed for a holiday let. Location above Burriana Beach necessitates plenty of steps to and from the beach or to Nerja town centre. Fully recommend with above caution

Great Apartment with Great Views

Very spacious apartment with a long balcony. Fully equipped we could think of nothing else we needed lots of plates, cooking pots, cups, etc etc. TV and internet if needed. Bed was very comfy and a good size. Excellent views of both sea and mountains from the balcony and only a 4 minute walk to the beach and short stroll into town. OK its up or down a lot of steps but the whole resort is very hilly so would not suit anyone who has problems using steps but for us this was a bonus as it allowed us to work off some of the ice cream we eat !!!! Would be come back YES WE WOULD. Also of note was the owner was very helpful and replied to any questions very quickly

Apartment not suitable for anyone who can't climb a lot of stairs. There was no cleaning cloth, no washing up liquid, only 1 toilet roll for 2 people for 1 week. Apartment is basic and good value but the issue of collecting keys from a hotel which is on the other side of the town must be changed. We both love Nerja and have been before so we knew location of apartment was on a steep hill, but this makes it unsuitable for elderly or less fit people. Shower very powerful although on the small side. Cheap pillows and poor fitting sheets. View from balcony great and gets the sun from 2.00pm until 20 30pm

Great for sunset views

As advertised well equiped and good location for Burriana Beach and bars, town is a bit of an uphill walk but OK, try going straight up Calle Lucena and follow the road up to the main Maro road and then left for town and supermarkets, when walking that is, different for driving. It was great to find some of the basics supplied ,or maybe left by past visitors, but it is the first apartment we have stayed in Nerja ( four so far) where there was some olive oil, balsamic and salt and pepper and other basics, pasta etc one owner actually told us everything was removed to show that the place had been cleaned ? Oh and more than one toilet roll. Only complaint, directions not as clear as they could be, we made the mistake of taking the right hand parking just inside the gates which meant we were at the wrong steps, you need to go right to the end of the car park, and if you are coming from the beach area on the Calle Lucena you need to take a sharp right about half way up which then leads to the car park and gates, but apart from that all was good.

Ants in our food n large lice crawing along d walls n steps outside the apartment.

Arrived at 1.30 am - no outside lights. Was told in directions to take the first set of steps however apartment was on the 3rd set on steps straight ahead. We could not open the door as it is warped so had to walk to the nearest hotel n were lucky to get a room. It took 10 minutes for mainenance person to get d door open n he oiled d locks n cleared cement from under door. Neither Owner or Apartment Maintenance Company would refund cost. Advertised WiFi available but not so.

Lovely Burrina!

Apartment was lovely. Very clean, with great views from the balcony and close to the beach. However, lots of steps so would not suit someone who is not fairly fit. We will definitely be back!

Steps galore

Lovely flat. An awful lot of steps up or down though. A very hilly area so great if you're fit not so good if you're not and can be tiring in the hot sun.
