Nile Court on Nile Street

Located in green and leafy Nile Street, this home is centrally located within an easy walk of the best Nelson City has to offer. The property is in a quiet garden setting with views of the Grampians.

Guests comment that the house appears modest on arrival but opens up like the Tardis to spacious rooms and a lovely garden.

Stylish and comfortable, two double bedrooms with a King bed in the Yellow Room and a pair of king single beds in the Beach Room.. All beds have cosy down underlays, Fairydown Espresso blankets, duvets and are luxuriously comfortable. Described by one guest as 'like sleeping on a cloud'. Beds are made up on arrival, all linen is provided.

The open plan living areas are generous with a 'snug' area for quiet activites and a larger lounge area with log fire (firewood supplied) and a 42 inch Smart TV with Netflix, DisneyPlus etc and full SKY digital. Most artwork is prints or originals by New Zealand artists.

The bathroom has a separate shower, toilet suite and bathtub.

A covered patio area leads from the lounge new Weber gas BBQ and cane hanging chair for reading and relaxing. Other seating around the garden. Guests are free to harvest herbs and fruit in season. Basic pantry items are provided.

As dog owners we are pet friendly and welcome well behaved pets. Great dog walking locally and only minutes on foot to 'Girlie's Hole', a famous swimming spot on the Maitai River.

Sadly, the property was not cleaned before we arrived. Made worse with previous people staying 6 weeks. We were left with sorting bedding b4 sleeping, cleaning kitchen and while some help arrived and the bathroom was cleaned (thank you) there were many other issues explained directly to the property owner. Resolution was small and is undoubtedly following BookaBach rules but disappointing.The lack of support and service from owner was very disappointing and unsatisfactory. No help was available with the usual documentation to deal with departure expectations, rubbish management, changing of gas bottle for cooking etc. It is pet friendly and in a great location. We care a lot about how we leave a property but we should be able to expect the same on arrival. Definitely not value for money as property is tired and needs TLC to get up to standard.

This was our 7th year in Nelson where we stay 5-8 weeks. Our previous place decided to go year around so this was a new location. We will be back next year for an even longer stay. The outdoor covered space, bikes and location to hiking and biking trails was excellent. For a long term stay the inside layout works well with separate areas for watching TV or reading. The kitchen was sufficient and pretty well stocked.

we had a wonderful stay here, would highly recommend this place. The location is fantastic, we did everything on foot round central Nelson, didn't even need the bikes. Lovely Spot in Nelson

Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at Nile Court. We booked as the information stated it was pet friendly and it didn't disappoint. The accommodation was perfect, with several enclosed small courtyard areas meaning it was safe for the dogs to run round freely. There were all the kitchen utensils you need if you plan on cooking your own food (as opposed using cafes/restaurants). The Cathedral and City Centre is a 10 minute walk, meaning we didn't have to use the car often. We really enjoyed out time here and wouldn't hesitate to book next time we're planning on staying in Nelson.

Dogs are welcome

This has been our go-to stay in Nelson for a number of years now because we are able to bring our two miniature dachshunds. As usual, the place was well appointed, clean and tidy with modern appliances and a glorious shower. Central to amenities and handy nearby places to walk the dogs. We’ll be back.

Clean and cosy

This house was ideal for us in a great location. It was easy to find and the lockbox worked as described. I appreciated the use of the washing machine/dryer and I used one of the bikes to get coffee from an excellent spot up the road. I would book this property again.
