Disliked: Cleanliness
Upon arrival we inspected each room for damages and cleanliness. We found bloody underwear under the bed, dirty clothes under another bed, medication under the bed, dirty diaper and rotting food in the bathroom waste can. Dust amounts that would only be accumulated over months of neglect. There was urine around the toilets. Counter tops and floors were filthy. The refrigerator, stove and microwave were filthy. The furniture was soiled. There were beer cans in the yard. There were fingerprints all over the walls and broken doors and furniture. We immediately called the support number provided to report this mess and sent pictures documenting this mess. They said they would send a cleaner. But after 20 hours after check in, no one came. We went out and bought cleaning supplies and did it ourselves. Trying to find another place for 6 people on short notice was impossible. The management company, Stay Bubo, initially offered a refund for the cleaning but rescinded the offer because we were “hostile” on the phone and said we turned the cleaners away. Of course I was mad! This place was gross. And no one came to clean it. After driving 8 hours, we had to scrub this mess. VRBO opened a case but so far has sided with the owner/management company. We’ve used VRBO multiple times over the last 12 years and never had this problem. So appalled by the condition of this house and the lack of support from VRBO, even after providing proof. Shameful.
