Last thing I wanted to worry about was the hotel. It was a frustrating stay. Brought my mom over to see her childhood friend who recently had a heart attack, was suppose to come over sooner but my mom had pneumonia. She needs some added help. I don't even want to review but when you already expect 3 star and that's hard to accomplish, that's sad. Our room originally had ants in it and they kindly moved us to a new one. We got to the new room and tried to use the tv and noticed one of the remotes was missing, so the tv was pretty much useless. Went to put food in the fridge and the freezer was full of ice, and it was dripping all over the rest of the fridge, we tossed out our food. Next morning we want to have showers and the only thing I forgot was body Wash. There is some in the bathroom, but it was empty, we called yes they replaced it in there time frame. It was the only day my mom had to see her friend, and to go to see her parents and sister at the cemetery. We arrived back late and went to Rickies we didn't actually want to because we ate there for breakfast and the food wasn't good. My mom ordered a salad it was good, and we ordered battered shrimp...it was dripping in grease. I would have been embarrassed to serve it. Also if they didn't want to keep serving, (I asked if it was ok) Once we got back to the room phone wouldn't work. We didn't expect 5stars but I also wouldn't give them 3.

Overall good. Local residents were concerned that the neighborhood can be a little sketchy. Staff friendly and helpful. Only real issue is that I reported two minor problems that required maintenance that weren't fixed. Would stay again.

I was in a room on the end of the hall. The fire door smashed open and closed all hours of the night. There was a staff area upstairs and it sounded like people were doing construction in the room above. Absolutely no noise dampening. Not a good sleep

Hotel is quite dated and when I mentioned to the front desk that it sounded like the people above me were going to come through the ceiling, they said “it is an old building”. Will not return to this property.

I got a call from the front desk at 11:00PM, saying that I was not checked in properly and he needed my credit card again to complete his night audit. No way was I walking up to front desk or having him come to my door at 11:00PM. It was disruptive enough to receive that call that late, imagine if my partner and I were already sleeping. The man said if I could not give my card info that night, I would have to by 7:00AM before he was off work. So, at 6:50AM I went to the front desk, just to be told he figured it out and didn't need my card anymore. Very unprofessional and disruptive to my stay.
