A great stay in sunny Crete

We really enjoyed our stay at Lilium Villa. The villa is well equipped with everything you need. The outside space is really the star of the show, but the interior is nice too and there is a lot of space. We loved getting fresh tomatoes, peppers and lemons etc from the garden. The location is great. The nearby town of Perama has plenty of shops and supermarkets etc, and the bakery is good too. Panormos is about 10 minutes away by car, and is a really lovely fishing village with a beach and nice restaurants. A big thank you to the owner Helena for her warm hospitality. She really made us feel welcome in the villa and was on hand to answer any questions we had. Dealing with ThinkVilla was very easy too. We booked a few things through them and everything went to plan. All in all a very nice holiday and one of the best villas we've stayed in. Only downside is the weddings that were on each weekend. There is a venue just down the road and it can get a bit noisy!

The villa was beautifully clean and well equipped. The grounds were well tended and we had no difficulty in contacting Helena who replied swiftly. The nearby village of Perama had very good facilities and was a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area. We all had a relaxing break. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful villa!

The standard of this villa is exceptional - I can’t praise it highly enough, and the same goes for Valia, the property manager, and Elena and her family who keep the villa spotless. When my parents and I arrived at the villa late at night, Elena was there to greet us and show us around. We were amazed at how clean and modern the villa was, and it had a lovely fresh, clean smell. There was a very substantial welcome pack left, which included fresh orange juice, bottled water, wine, raki, bread, crisps, biscuits, and more! A particular favourite was Elena’s home made olive oil. The villa itself also has everything you could ever need for the stay, including loads of kitchen equipment and utensils, bath and beach towels, toilet rolls and crisp, white bedding. The huge garden is also immaculate, lovely pool and jacuzzi, and very comfortable loungers. It is very private, not overlooked at all, and can’t be seen by anyone from outside. Elena and her family do an absolutely brilliant job of keeping the villa so clean. She came round during our week’s stay and replaced the bedding and towels, and brought some treats from the local bakery. Another day she brought round some homemade Moussaka, which was absolutely delicious! I must also give a mention to the property manager, Valia. She is extremely helpful, and is always very quick to respond to any correspondence. She made the whole booking process so easy, and gave us some good recommendations of places to visit during our stay. She also gave us details of a car hire company, which we used to collect a car from the airport. Again, I must highly recommend this company (Best Cars). Manolos met us at the airport, and was really friendly and helpful, making the handover very quick so we could get on our way. It was nice to see him again at the drop off, which was also quick and easy. In relation to the nearby village of Perama, there are 3 supermarkets which we used during our stay, but there wasn’t much else there. If you want to eat out or wander round, I would go to Panormo, which is only a 10 minute drive away, and has a nice beach, lovely restaurants and shops, and plenty of parking. Thank you very much to Valia, Elena and family, and Manolos for making this a perfect holiday!

My family and I have just returned from a fantastic week at villa Lilium, what can I say... We've stayed in villas before but this one is just wow. Being an outdoor loving family, this villa didn't disappoint, the garden is huge and immaculate, the outdoor kitchen was used daily for all meals and the pool was used from the minute the children were awake until bedtime, being a perfect size and very clean. The villa is very private not overlooked by anyone, there was a property across the road where we could hear a dog barking in the evenings other than that the villa is set on a fairly quiet road. The villa itself was also spotless and had everything you could need, including a lovely hamper for our arrival. Helena met us there even tho it was 12.30am (delayed flight!) to show us around and how everything worked, nothing was too much trouble, she even brought us a delicious moussaka one day! The village is a 15 minute walk away and has everything you could need, supermarkets, bakery, butchers, petrol station, pharmacy and a few cafes/restaurants, some lovely beaches only a 10 minute drive away. Overall I would recommend villa Lilum to everyone, we had an amazing time and really didn't want to come home... Thank you

Lovely villa - perfect Crete holiday

We had a fabulous holiday at Villa Lilium in August 2018. First thing to say is how welcoming the owner, Eleni, is. She greeted us at the property even though we didn’t arrive until late, and filled the fridge with essentials. She was so helpful and attentive.. and even brought us a lovely home-cooked Moussaka one day. She and her daughter came every four days to change the beds and towels and the place was always spotless. The villa itself is great, air con being a very welcome addition. There are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the sun or the shade, and the outdoor kitchen is brilliant for BBQing. We loved the pool area and the grounds in general.. it really is a lovely, enclosed spot but with amazing views of the mountains and even the sea (if you stand in the right place). Having a veg patch and grapevine on site was great too.. the peppers and tomatoes made a truly epic pasta sauce. Perama itself is easy to walk to (out of the gate, turn right and then left next to the horse’s field) – although it’s quite a hill to come back up in the heat! Still, it’s 15 mins and good exercise. Perama itself is surprisingly bustling, with no tourists really. There are several supermarkets and various grocers, butchers, bakers etc. On Sunday only the supermarket at the bottom of town is open. We didn’t bother hiring a car and did most of our food shopping in Perama. When we wanted to go up to Panormos for an evening we just called Kostas the taxi driver.. Eleni gave us his number. It’s 10 euro each way. Panormos is lovely, and we had many a cocktail and meal overlooking the sea. Lots of nice bars & restaurants and some good shopping too… but it’s all understated and not touristy. The beaches are nice too. The Melidoni cave is also worth a visit (15 mins drive from villa) – we had a great lunch in the village and kids enjoyed the reptile centre… where you ‘enjoy’ close contact with some big snakes (they are put around your neck when you walk in!). On our last day we spent the day at Water City before catching our late flight… a good way to eke out another day. It’s brilliant, has great slides, lots of pools and plenty of food choice. We stopped at Heraklion airport on the way, put our suitcases in the left luggage then just got a cab back when the park closed at 18:30. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Villa Lilium… it has everything you want and we felt very much at home there. Thank you Eleni for everything.

Wonderful!!

We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday at Villa Lillium, a perfect piece of paradise that our family of four-2 children aged 11 and 15 did not want to leave. The villa is spotlessly clean and comfortable with so much space both inside and outside-we absolutely loved the outdoor kitchen, cooking most of our meals outdoors-even spit-roasting a chicken. The considerable amount of outside space is beautiful and so well maintained, we sat to out at all times of the day and night to enjoy it with the kids making good use of the space, along with the pool, jacuzzi, table tennis and inflatables. The WiFi is also excellent (important when traveling with a teenager!) The villa is located in such a beautiful, peaceful location it felt very safe and was a great base for exploring Island. Elina, the owner is lovely and was very accommodating-even when our flight was delayed until the early hours of the morning. She was always on hand to help when required, offering special touches but was never intrusive. We would highly recommend Villa Lillium to anyone-i miss waking up to the gorgeous view from the living area window each day. Also, thanks to Valia from Think Villa who is super efficient in dealing with queries prior to travelling.

Perfect for a family holiday

We stayed for 2 weeks with 2 small children and it was perfect. There is no stairs and there are lots of equipment available such as baby monitors, high chairs and a cot with a proper mattress. The villa is in a great area for exploring the island and is very private. The facilities are excellent and the swimming pool is ideal with the separate shallow area. The owners are lovely and made our stay extra special.valia who dealt with any enquiries before staying was great help too.

Beautiful Villa

We have just spent two wonderful weeks at this beautiful villa and had the perfect holiday. The villa is stunning and the owners are lovely, kind people who make you feel very welcome. They are always on hand but never intrusive. The villa is not overlooked so it is nice and private. We can recommend this villa for couples and for families and for those with reduced mobility. The local village is within walking distance with some good supermarkets and amenities. We were sad to leave and would happily stay there again.

An absolutely amazing holiday - a 5 star villa experience with luxury, comfort and ambience.

A beautiful villa to stay at. Very comfortable and the owners are totally amazing and very welcoming. Nothing is too much, and they spoiled us so much - we even got an authentic home cooked meal delivered one night! Gorgeous garden and pool area., with full use of the vegetable patch. The villa is private and well equipped, and we absolutely loved the outside entertainment area - spent lovely evenings cooking there! Walking distance to the local town, with the most amazing bakery, such friendly people and always ready to provide tasters. Amazing beaches close by - it is lovely to be in the country and drive 10 minutes to the beach and beautiful harbour town. Our first visit to Crete, and will absolutely return to this villa again and highly recommend it to anyone! Look no further and book this villa today!!

I'd gladly give this villa far more than 5 stars if I could. Everything about this place is beautiful, peaceful and amazing. Currently on our last day after a weeks holiday and we couldn't have asked for more. We were greeted by the lovely villa owners who were amazing during our entire stay. Providing lots of lovely little extras making our holiday even more special and making sure we enjoyed our stay. The villa itself is beautiful and perfect for a family holiday. We had our 2 boys with us aged 6 and 11 and they loved everything about it. The area around is quiet, the small town is just a short drive where there are supermarkets, a few shops and a beautiful bakery. The villa itself is very private and has both an amazing pool and outdoor kitchen, we were hardly ever inside although the villa inside is also immaculate and filled with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The villa also has an amazing fruit and veg garden which you're encouraged to use during your stay at the villa. It's simple just a little slice of paradise which gave us an amazing holiday and we'd love to come back again. We wouldn't look elsewhere for a place to stay in Crete, it couldn't top this place! We are recommending this place to all our friends and family. If you want a perfect holiday this is the villa to book.

We had a fabulous experience at Lilium Villa and highly recommend it. I only wish I could have that same house here in the United States! The owners were super friendly and welcoming too! Loved loved loved it!

Perfect!

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The villa was so clean and well decoratored. It was perfect for us as we were with my one year old son so he could explore without us worrying about the stairs. The pool and outside area was great and we used the BBQ quite a few times. Helena was absolutely fantastic and very welcoming and at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Would reccomend this villa to anyone but I would say it is especially family friendly.

Wir waren im Juli für 10 Tage mit 4 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern im Alter von 9-12 hier. Diese Villa war einfach ein Traum! Schon beim Betreten des Grundstücks waren wir überwältigt von dem liebevoll gepflegten Garten – eine grüne Oase voller mediterraner Pflanzen und gemütlicher Rückzugsorte. Der Außenbereich ist wirklich außergewöhnlich: Eine voll ausgestattete Outdoorküche, ein Grill und sogar ein Pizzaofen. Der großzügige Poolbereich mit bequemen Liegen und der Jacuzzi rundeten das perfekte Urlaubserlebnis ab. Besonders abends, wenn alles stimmungsvoll beleuchtet ist, fühlt man sich wie in einem privaten Resort. Es hat uns an absolut nichts gefehlt. Die Villa war komplett ausgestattet. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war die Gastgeberin Helena: Herzlich, aufmerksam, professionell – sie hat sich von Anfang an fantastisch um uns gekümmert, stand jederzeit für Fragen bereit und hat den Aufenthalt durch ihren Service und ihre Gastfreundschaft zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist, dass wir große Gläser bzw. Gläser für Aperol vermisst haben. Am selben Tag haben wir abends die Gläser bei uns vorgefunden. Einfach TOP. Ganz besonders möchte ich auch noch unsere Reinigungskraft hervorheben. Die Villa wurde in der Zeit 2x mal gereinigt und war super sauber. Auch der Kontakt mit Dalia von ThinkVilla war perfekt,Wir können diese Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen – für alle, die auf der Suche nach Ruhe, Luxus, Natur und echter kretischer Gastfreundschaft sind.

Tolle Villa etwas außerhalb von Perama

Die Villa ist toll, sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Gastgeberin war immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Villa liegt an einer Straße, die uns nicht wirklich gestört hat, da Hecke und Tor blickdicht sind. Nervig waren nur die Hubde in der Nachbarschaft.

Ein Traum auf Kreta

Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Bei der Ankunft bekamen wir einen großen Obstkorb, einen Korb mit verschiedenen Lebensmitteln und gratis Olivenöl und Raki. Das war schon sehr spendabel. Das Olivenöl konnte auch kostenfrei wieder nachgefüllt werden. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön angelegt und sauber. Einen Pool und Aussenküche mit Grill, Sitzplätzen und Tischtennisplatte. Für kleine Kinder gab es eine Schaukel und Rutsche. Hinter dem Haus ein Gemüsegarten, aus dem wir ernten durften. Allein der riesige Zitronenbaum war ein Traum und die Zitronen waren sehr lecker. Im Haus hat es auch an nichts gefehlt und es war sehr sauber. Da wir ein 1 jähriges Kleinkind dabei hatten, wurde ein Kinderbett, ein Kinderwagen, ein Hochstuhl und Babybadewanne gestellt. Auf Nachfrage wurde sogar noch ein Töpfchen gekauft und sofort vorbei gebracht. Täglich wurde das Aussengelände gereinigt und der Pool. Wir konnten selbst bestimmen, ob und wann Bettwäsche und Handtücher, sowie eine Reinigung des Hauses vorgenommen werden sollte. Ein weiterer Dienst, den wir auch ausprobiert haben ist, dass man sich original griechisch bekochen lassen kann. Dafür gibt es eine Menükarte und man bestellt per Mail bei Frau Soula. Sie bereitet das Essen vor und bringt es dann in die Villa zu einem fairen Preis. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Auch unsere Gastgeberin hat uns 2x mit selbst gekochtem Essen überrascht. Das war Mega. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub und können die Villa nur weiterempfehlen.

A piece of paradise

We had a wonderful week in Lilium Villa! When we arrived, the lovely Helene and Maria showed us around the house and garden. They gifted us a welcome basket with all sorts of food and drinks. The garden and the pool are amazing, we spend a lot of time in the garden. The communication with Helene was wonderful ❤️

Traumhaftes Anwesen

Wir waren Anfang Juni 2023 mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern dort. Die Lilium Villa ist ein wunderschönes Anwesen, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Das Haus ist sehr ansprechend und modern ausgestattet. Alles für den täglichen Bedarf ist vorhanden. Unschlagbar ist der Außenbereich, mit dem Gemüsegarten, an dem man sich bedienen kann (was es dort nicht gibt, gibt’s dann von den netten Nachbarn 😬) und der sehr gemütlichen Grillecke, mit Pizza- und Räucherofen! Am Pool ist für jeden eine Liege vorhanden. Das Grundstück ist komplett umfriedet, gegen Blicke von außen geschützt. Wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen und können die Lilium Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Herzlichen Dank auch an Helen und ihre Mitarbeiter, die sich sehr gekümmert und fast täglich nach dem rechten geschaut haben 👍

Heerlijke vakantie week gehad

We hebben met ons gezin , 6 volwassenen en 2 kinderen van 3 en 6 een heerlijke ontspannen vakantie gehad Villa is prachtig , schoon en alles was top verzorgd Helaas voor ons was het weer niet heel erg mooi maar dat heeft ons verblijf gelukkig niet minder leuk gemaakt Bedankt voor de goede service en de heerlijke attenties en moussaka Mvg Familie Sieval

Zeer nette villa, behulpzame mensen en mooie natuur

De villa is erg netjes, zeer schoon. Buiten een zwembad met whirlpool en een grote ruimte om een avondmaal te maken. Je beschikt onder andere over een houtoven om zelf pizza's te bakken en over een barbecue. De omgeving is erg mooi, wel zit alles wat ver van elkaar vandaan. Grote supermarkt is zo'n 30 minuten rijden, een kleine rond de 5 minuten. Ze hebben ook fietsen bij de villa en de mensen komen elke dag langs om de tuin te onderhouden en zijn daarnaast erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Enige minpunt is dat het allemaal wat kleiner was dan dat het op de foto's leek, maar hier hebben we eigenlijk ook geen last van gehad. Het was voor onze 6 personen meer dan prima!
