Pros: Massive room | Comfortable bed | Power sockets were in the right places | Window and balcony onto local area below | Kitchen including benchtop space and coffee| Westkreuz station at doorstep (though this is the side with stairs; the other side with the lifts is a further 5 min walk away with street crossings) | Shops (including groceries) and restaurants downstairs too Cons: No reception at all on weekends except Oktoberfest (though there is an emergency phone number) - should have been notified prior to check-in | Old school key | Westkreuz station not quite as well serviced after hours like Pasing station

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment was clean and everything worked. Had a corner room with a balcony and another window, was helpful to try to get a breeze through the room as weather was scorchio. Parking under the hotel, reasonably priced. For me the best part was the S-Bahn station right out the front. With the doors/windows shut you dont hear the trains.

Transportation into the center of the city is two minutes away from the door. We arrived on a Saturday, when the desk was closed, so we had to figure out the procedure to get our key, but once we were in, it was a perfect stay.

Pluses - one minute from the S-bahn station where you can connect to everywhere; very spacious; great little kitchen Minuses - the bathroom often smelled like sewage (maybe a drain trap problem); I arrived on a Sunday and the reception was closed, it took a half hour with hotels.com to find the code to open the key box

Was there for one night. The hotel is just outside the train station. About 15 min by S-Bahn. The hotel should put signage outside on road. It was a bit time consuming to locate it. The parking is on the road behind. The hotel should inform parking address in booking confirmation to save time.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir waren begeistert vom Hotel. Die Lage ist einwandfrei, direkt an der S-Bahn, von der man aber nichts hört. Sehr sauber und sehr nettes Personal. Die Schlüsselübergabe am Wochenende bei geschlossener Rezeption ging einwandfrei. Bei Anreise am Wochenende unbedingt vorher kurz anrufen und einen Code für die Schlüsselbox vereinbaren. Ging alles super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. P.S. Lieben Dank auch nochmal an die liebe brasilianische Frühstücksbetreuung.

The Forum is always an excellent place to stay. I've stayed here many times over the past 10 years and is always an excellent experience. Always clean and a very helpful staff. The hotel is situated right next to a train station which is the transfer station for many lines, giving you the ability to travel anywhere in the Munich area with relative ease. Schiller's Bistro is right next door and is a great place to have a beer and good food. The Forum is highly recommended.

We would absolutely go back to this property. It was only a few stops (five I think) from the Central Station. You literally walked out of the subway and the building is right there in front of you. The ladies who work reception are so friendly! They will literally do anything you need to make your stay complete. We booked a suite -- it was literally six to seven times the size of your standard European hotel room. Large bedroom, nice den with couch, chairs, table to eat, kitchen with large fridge, stove and microwave, and large foyer with cabinet. The included buffet breakfast is great, and again the service is impeccable! Go to Gastehaus -- you will not be disappointed.
