After a harrowing experience at another hotel, I was able to secure last minute reservations at this hotel. The hotel was easy to find, the parking lot was safe, the staff extremely kind to us, and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms are spacious enough. We were able to get around despite our luggage and wheelchair. I give the rating 4 stars because the pullout sofas are hard and lumpy, the pillows extremely lumpy, and staff had to improvise when we requested a shower chair for our son with limited mobility. I do give staff credit for their kind help in getting him a chair. These are easily fixable issues, so hopefully hotel management sees this and resolve them. All in all, we had a great stay. We liked this property so much, that upon our return to Munich after a one-day trip outside the city, we gladly made a new reservation and returned there.

Visited Munich for 4 days and this hotel will be my go to for next trips. It’s clean, well maintained, great options for breakfast. It’s 1 block away from train station where all S-Bahn trains stop, it makes it extremely convenient for getting in and out of the city. Loved it!

Slightly Above Average Hotel

Holiday Inn Express is a comfortable hotel with a great breakfast. It is let down by an average location when it comes to access to transportation and dining. The bar was unmanned at seven at night when we wanted snacks and drinks. We had to go to the front desk to get service. The room was comfortable enough, but not special and channel selection on the TV was disappointing. Four stars instead of three because the breakfast was really good.

Good location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast.

The location is good as the metro is right next to the hotel. You will need to take 4-5 stations (10 mins) to reach Marienplatz but at least the station is quite empty which makes it really convenient to find a chair. The best thing about this hotel is their staff and their breakfast!! We didn't like the bed so much but it was ok.
