The Canourgue square neighbourhood is highly appreciated by Montpellier residents. It is the dominant viewpoint of the city with its magnificent Canourgue square which was once the seat of the town hall. Lino Ventura and Jacques Brel had shot a film there in the 1970s. Today it is home to antique dealers and artisan shops. The Richer de Belleval hotel is just a stone's throw away.
